I play in a band with eight friends, we play various places around our town, some have sound systems others do not. For those times when we play at a place without a house sound system we have been just using our amps, however this has its problems, specifically the band has no way to hear what the vocalists are doing since we have to aim all the amps away from our mics and hence toward the crowd (or else we get massive amounts of feedback). We only play gigs like this about once every other month or less.
What I would like to know is what size system would you recomend for us? How much would you spend if you were in our shoes?
Just to make things easier these are the instruments we currently use:
Vocals x 3 (Two Roland AC-60 or AC-90s)
Acoustic Guitar (Roland AC-60 with lead vocal)
Electric Guitar (Roland Cube 60)
Mandolin (Roland AC-60)
Violin (60 Watt Amp, with only one input)
Banjo (Takes the Mandolin or Violin's place depending on song)
Harmonica/Accordian (60 Watt Amp with one input)
Bass (Carvin BX600)
Drums (No drum shield, can drop out floor tom for small areas)
