I had a problem where a particular picture for one of my characters got "stuck," that is I had deleted it through the usual means but it still appeared in my character's gallery. What's worse is that the site used this stuck picture as the default pic for my character :(
I figured I could try and force the pic deletion by passing a special value to a special URL.
The 'delete pic' URL is:
http://www.rockband.com/users/your_profile_id/deletepicture/P/pic_id
Where <your_profile_id> is your user name on the Rock Band site and where <pic_id> is the ID of the offending picture.
Getting the pic id isn't very difficult. Simply find an Edit Picture link for the pic you want to remove and get the URL--it looks something like this:
http://www.rockband.com/photo/pic_id
Just take the string of numbers at the end of this URL and plug it into the first URL. Throw in your own profile id and copy this URL into your browser and hit Enter--the picture should be gone once the browser finishes loading.
Hope this technique is as effective for you as it has been for me.

Wow, great thinking! It worked perfectly. And now the picture that shows up is the one that I kept trying to set as my character picture, but kept getting the "stuck" one instead. Anyone with the stuck picture problem should definitely try this.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!
This has been driving me crazy. I had a stuck picture that wasn't even one of my characters (it was a male joker looking character on a female character). It has been driving me crazy trying to get rid of it.
Thanks again.

Thank you *so* much. That fixed my problem as well. What it looks like is that there were two copies of the unwanted picture, each with a different id number, so deleting the one in my gallery didn't take out the one that had gotten tied to my character's profile.

Oh thank God. I thought I was going to be stuck with that stupid picture forever. This totally worked and should be a sticky.
Perfect solution. HMX hire absolutzero for web support, now if I could only get rid of my deleted characters.....
