Drums Question

For those of you real drums players out there who have played Rock Band on the hard and expert settings, I was wondering if the hard setting is just like playing the drums in real life or if the expert setting is. I have heard differing claims. I have a feeling that like Guitar Hero, the expert setting makes playing the instrument harder than in real life, but I'd like someone's opinion who actually plays the drums in real life. Thanks
