Hi. I got Fallout 2 yesterday, and I was just wondering what you guys thought about it.

How does it compare to one and three? And stuff like that.

Fallout 1 and 2 are almost completely different from 3.

Fallout 1 is considered arguably to be the best, but Fallout 2 is much bigger and doesn't have a timed quest to worry about.

Fallout 3 is Oblivion with the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. system and Fallout setting.

He's right, but I wouldn't go as far as saying it's "Oblivion with the S.P.E.C.I.A.L system"

It actually has a completely different feel from Oblivion. The way I look at it, Oblivion is Fallout with swords. Then again I'm a diehard Fallout fan :P

I'm really looking forward to a lot of the mods, I really hope they added expansions and such, that would be really nice. Oh and it's pretty cool, for the PC you can get Xbox Live achievements :D so it makes the 360 completely, utterly, useless. If more games were like that I would probably sell my 360.

Edit: Almost forgot, if you just bought fallout there is an unofficial patch you want to download. Look for "NoMutantsAllowed" or a variation of it on google. You'll end up losing hours of your life though.

I meant it as the animations and the gameplay, however, the atmosphere is definitely unique. Also, I hated Oblivion.

Fallout 1 and 2 have more in common with, say, Icewind Dale or Baldur's Gate than Fallout 3. All three games are excellent, though, from a gameplay and storyline point of view.

PC Gaming < Console Gaming.

To each his own, I prefer higher resolutions than 1080p and the ability to customize my games to my liking though :)

At the very least, Fallout 2 offers a good 17 minutes, 51 seconds (http://speeddemosarchive.com/Fallout2.html) of gameplay.
