Right now, I am obsessed with Silversun Pickups.
It used to be Modest Mouse. I still love them, but I'm not obsessed (at the moment).

After very nearly ruining both System of a Down and then Tool for myself, I now make every effort to avoid obsessions with a single band. I do, however, listen to bands I recently discovered in excess, most recently All That Remains.

I've recently been obsessed with anything that Josh Homme has touched, including (obviously) QotSA, Eagles of Death Metal, and Mondo Generator.
The Desert Sessions are mighty fine as well.

My obsession with the Protomen is constant, though I've tried to cease the pluggery. However, the bad mothers had a vinyl release show last night, so I'm still shaking with joy.

If you're anything like me, you'll be obsessed with shoegaze next. I'd recommend My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, and the Verve's first record.

Pink Floyd. I spread heavy metal around in fifth grade, and now it's actually popular in my grade, so people find it odd that I'm so obsessed with the Floyd.

I've been on an AC/DC kick since the track pack came out. Getting to appreciate some songs I never listened to before.

Totally back into the Afghan Whigs at the moment. Hadn't listened to them in a while, occupied with The Gutter Twins. But The Whigs are most definitely one of the best bands of the 90's.

I haven't been obsessed with a band in a while, nothing has caught my attention enough to be obsessed. Most recent obsessions would probably be The Mars Volta and The Dessert Sessions.

I was on an extreme Sonic Youth kick for a while. After I bought all their albums and listened to them ad nauseum, I went on a Pixies kick. That died down, and then I got really into Mastodon for a short while. I still love all three of these bands, but there so far has not been a band to replace any of them as my current "obsession". Although there are a few bands I'm thinking about getting into.
It's the first time I haven't had a music-addition (Rock Band aside) for a long time. Probably 15 years or so. I've been digging the latest Harvey Danger album, as well as the new Metallica album, and I recently got into Protest the Hero (although not quite as much), but other than that, no real obsessions. Hmmm... I need new music. But I'm really poor so I can't afford much...

Listen. Now. Or I will come and give you hearts and flowers, then kill you, so you'll be My Bloody Valentine. And if you've listened to it already, listen to it again. Or else.

My music obsession began with Nirvana, but that has kind of died out as of recently. I transitioned through a few other bands after that. Pearl Jam, Led Zeppelin, Red Hot Chili Peppers, the Foo Fighters, The Beatles, and Radiohead.
Currently though I've become obsessive with Kings Of Leon, I really can't get enough of them.
I've been trying not to become too involved with any one band, so I can kind of keep things fresh and diverse.

I've been getting into live albums, period. I have listened to AC/DC's Live at Donnington and Live at PAris, am listening to Led Zeppelin's How the West was Won, and plan to listen to Muse's HAARP and The Who's Live at Leeds.
