broken whammy bar spring

alright so its been 3 days and my guitar is still working fine (strumming works, button work, whammy responds fin) however the spring for my whammy bar broke and rather than wait for a new one I would rather just fix the problem myself. Does anyone know where I can get a new spring for the guitar? I tried lowes and 2 local arts/crafts stores and they don't have anything near the size of this spring. Any help would be appreciated.

read the other thread I just created. if you put in a rubber band it will work until you can get a new guitar.
