RB for Wii?

Is there any chance that Rock Band will be released for the Wii? I personally would love to by the game but don't have the money to afford a PS3 or Xbox 360. All of my friends and I who have Wii's have discussed the game and would really like to get it. Even my Fiance who hates video games wants to play this game. Is there any chance that Rock Band will be released on the Wii, or am I going to get stuck because I bought the Wii?

In regards to the Wii, Harmonix has stated there is interest in releasing the game for the Wii, however there are a lot of questions that need to be answered first. Most of them are surrounding the online arena, and downloadable content. Rock Band to them is much more than simply a game, it's a platform, so these areas are key. There would also need to be some slight modifictions to the current peripherals, as they would all need to use the Wii Remote.

I went online and found out that the developers of the game have stated that at one point in time, it will be on all major consoles. However, I was wondering how they were going to use a Wii-mote for the Microphone and Drum Kit, as the guitar has already been done and works very well. The internet portion I don't think would be too hard as the Wii does use the WiFi capabilities quite well; but thats just my opinion on the WiFi.

The PS2 version coming out soon and is a cheaper option then the PS3 or Xbox 360 versions if you can't wait for them to announce if a Wii version is coming out.
