Site to Manually Download RB1 Patch

I have searched this forum for 2 days looking for a link to download the patch that wil allow guitar hero:world tour guitars to work with RB1. I do not and cannot get a broadband connection at my home, it is simply not available. Therefore, I cannot connect to the Sony Playstation Network in order to automatically download this patch. Is there a way to download this and put it on a USB memory stick so that I can use RB1? I am hoping somone has the answer.

There is no way to do that. You'll need to somehow get your PS3 on the Internet to update it.

Ya the patch is sold at the ps store. So you need to get it on the net to get it.

So I will have to purchase this patch? In reading others' posts it appeared as tho when they inserted their disk the patch was downloaded automatically with no charge. Maybe I am misunderstanding this whole patch thing? Anyone know the cost of the patch (I've already bought the game and cannot return it so I will have to buy this anyway). Seems to me I should be able to purchase this and download on my computer. I feel disenfranchised about the whole ordeal because broadband is available at my home and sony has made no apparent way for me to download content otherwise.

No, the game patches don't cost anything.

The game export patch is 4.99 at the ps store. You will not see it in the rb store at all.

edit- not sure if this patch will let the ghwt guitar work with rb1 or not. I do know that it lets other gh guitars before wt to work with it.

edit2- from teh gh site it has a chart saying the ghwt guitar does work with the rb1 game. However the same chart says the drums work with rb2.

That's not the patch. The patch is free. The $4.99 product in the store is the License Key that you need to perform the export.

But the game patch itself that adds the Export functionality is free. Same as every other patch that's come out for either RB1 or RB2. Free.

Thanks for the information. I had looked at the site about compatibility but it is wrong. I can assure you that both guitars that come with Guitar Hero:WT do NOT automatically work with RB1. I have tested both seperately with the same end result- the system thinks they are microphones. This occurs to both the Les Paul and the regular guitar. I guess I will have to figure out a way to get my PS3 to a location that has broadband. I simply cannot believe Sony would not have a workaround for this. Most of rural america is still without broadband of any kind at the home.

I remember when first loading ghwt that there was an update first. The same thing happen with rb2 as well. As for that chart it is wrong on ghwt.At least it is for now.
