Morrissey/The Smiths

Who else would like to see Morrissey and or the Smiths on Rock Band? I think it would be pretty neat, especially if they got "How Soon is Now?", "The More you Ignore me", "First of the Gang to die," "This Charming Man" "Hairdresser on Fire" "Stop Me..." and many more.

I would buy every single Smith/Moz song they put up. Every. Last. One.

I was just thinking of this today and noticed the thread and was suprised to see such positive feedback. The Moz would be great for those of us in the US and those across the pond. The best part is that they have always had a great blend which is perfect for Rock Band. Great guitar, bass, drums and singer.

My hopes:

What he said. I think the Queen is Dead would make great dlc. That bass part would be lots of fun to play. I don't see it happening though.

There is definitely no chance ever of seeing any Smiths songs in the game after the bitter court battle between Morrissey and the former drummer Mike Joyce. Morrissey would never allow Mike Joyce to profit on any future deals involving The Smiths, which is too bad.

There would be an outside chance of seeing some Morrissey solo stuff, maybe. I used to think that Morrissey had too much "artistic integrity" to sell out his creative work to a video game or to an advertisement.....

....that is until I saw the recent commercials for DirecTV's NFL Sunday Ticket that features a snippet of Mozz's "Every Day Is Like Sunday". My jaw nearly hit the floor when I heard that. I never expected him to license a song to any advertiser for use in an NFL Football commercial. So, maybe he might be willing to license his work for Rock Band.
