Lack of DLC Online...

I've been enjoying the hell out of Rock Band, but one thing's kind of a downer... the extra DLC songs I love so much? I can't play them online, because I haven't run into anyone yet who's bought the Police pack, Fortunate Son, Bang a Gong, Jukebox Hero, etc. Some folks bought Metallica, but that's it.

I understand the legal and logistical reasons for not allowing online play of songs you don't own... can't safely and speedily download them for one use only, etc. But it's kind of a bummer to be playing the same main setlist over and over. (Especially if the people you're teamed with don't have much unlocked.)

Anybody here play online routinely AND own a bunch of the DLC other than "I am a solo badass and watch me be a badass with my badass score WOO" Metallica tracks?

Alrighty. It's too late for me to be belting out vocals tonight, and I'm gonna be MIA tomorrow, but I'll buzz you guys another time.

Arranging a RB session can be tough... typically when I send the invites out, people are in the middle of a song, so they don't exactly want to abandon what they're doing and jump into my band. And vice versa, I could be in the middle of Foreplay/Long Time and don't want to dump in the middle.

As time goes on, just as more people pick up the game, more people who have the game will download the songs that are there. Many people didn't immediately buy the DLC because they're more interested in playing the game on the disc and using the DLC as an infusion of variety later on. Give it time.

Metallica Pack, Jukebox Hero, My Sharona, Little Sister, Synchronicity II, and Fortunate Son are all in my DLC list. Gamertag is Thrashdragon. I'm usually soloing unless I can get my fiance drunk enough to play, so random invites don't bother me at all...if I don't answer then I got her drunk enough to sing. :) I haven't tried online yet but wouldn't mind giving it a try some time.
