View Full Version : Hope no one wanted The Killers DLC

The Killers DLC hitting GHWT on Nov. 25 (http://www.joystiq.com/2008/11/14/the-killers-dlc-hitting-ghwt-on-nov-25/)

They have jumped ship to GH:WT and have a 3 song pack coming Nov. 25th. Two of the tracks are from the group's upcoming album, Day & Age: "Human" and "Losing Touch." The third song is "Mr. Brightside" from their breakout album, Hot Fuss.

i dont get why everyone assumes a band gh puts in is exclusive.

since I have world tour and rock band, I could care less, but I am excited that one of them is getting some killers.. as the songs are fun to jam to. (also, as its been mentioned, it doesn't say exclusive in there anywhere.. but if you were posting like it was, just to get people to say.. guitar hero sucks, on a rock band board.. then.. good job, mission accomplished)

i love hot fuss! somebody told me, mr brightside, and all these things i've done would kick soo much ass in rock band...

hot fuss was pretty great when it came out, even if i was was only 10 when i got it...

yeah, it's a shame, but Luckily for me, I got both games (but like Rock Band considerably more.) That being said, I don't really care. I like a few Killers songs, but nothing so much that I MUST have it. I only buy all DLC on Rock Band.

Yeah, I don't get this. RB/GH have both shown the ability to secure DLC from bands in each other's games. Why is it always the end of world when a band has music in one or the other?

Because Harmonix releases GOOD music, while GH releases POPULAR music (in the opinion of certain posters).

I don't flip my lid if a band I want in RB gets in GH. I just add them to my list of RB requests.

Just lost some money from me then. I love The Killers and I'm not rabidly against GHWT, but I have a hard enough time paying $2 for a song that I can play with an excellent interface and usually-professional charting.

Not really looking forward to paying $x for a song that I can play on a mediocre interface with what will likely be sub-optimal charting, unless it's like Stairway or something.

(something being the songs in my sig... not really my 4 most wanted but 4 that might have a shot on either platform)

Technically HMX has The Killers now. When You Were Young was on RB1.

Yeah, I saw that article too. Not sure why the OP's article skipped over the RB news, but read this article before you get your panties in a wad. RB is getting Killers songs too. Better ones if you ask me.

1. RB wins
"Mr. Brightside," Smile Like You Mean It" and "Spaceman,"
over
"Human" and "Losing Touch") on World Tour, as well as the classic "Mr. Brightside."

2. That is one REALLY REALLY ugly album cover.

And this is why you don't make wild assumptions. It makes an ASS out of U and UMPTION (at least, that's how I think the saying goes).

People need to relax on shouting "Exclusivity! Exclusivity!" Don't count your DLC chickens until they're hatched.
