I dunno why, but when I play the guitar I feel like the note sizes are just way to small which makes it feel as if when a lot of notes are on screen it gets very cluttered then hard to read. Also a lot of the parts with no strum are so hard to tell the difference between the regular ones. I think they need a little thicker size in the notes. I am finding somehow the songs harder then Guitar Hero, but not because of its note chart just because of the visibility it gives off. I play mostly Hard/Expert on Guitar Hero games which is no reason half the time to have a problem in this game. Anyone else having these issues.

I love it, I like it more than guitar hero. And now, when I play guitar hero, the round note icons loks hideous and confusing. :|

I love how the notes change size to indicate notes you don't have to strum, you know like hammer-ons and pull-offs.

I play on expert on both RB and GH and I feel that during the solo's "hard ones" its difficult to tell what your supost to hit because of the skinny blocks you have to hit. The hammer ons I can tell now so thats not an issue, its just the timing im not 100% sure about.

With Christmas right around the corner ask Santa for a bigger tv, and some pa speakers to blast your neighbors out with. Also add a fog machine and some spin and pukes for added fun. Personally I do prefer the notes on RB to GH and I havent had the room moving up after playing for long periods of time lol. Got to say love the game love the idea of the strat just dont love all the problems.

I really can't tell the HOPO's from the rest, so I mostly ignore them. In GH3 you can tell at a glance if it's a HOPO.

Personally, I like the flat notes a lot. I'm a veteran in Guitar Hero, and while I do love the round notes, I prefer the flat notes, as I used to play a lot of Guitar Freaks and Drum Mania back in the day (I doubt there are very many people here who know what I'm talking about, but hey).

However, I think one problem is there is no hyperspeed. One thing I really, REALLY love from Guitar Hero III is that not only is there hyperspeed, but I can set it to x5 speed, and it makes tapping and reading so much easier for me in songs like Through The Fire And The Flames. I think music games like that NEED a speed setting (DDR, GH, Drum Mania, Guitar Freaks, etc). Many people like reading at the higher speeds. And seeing as how the notes are FLAT, it is extremely hard to read some songs when the notes are so close together. In Guitar Freaks, the notes are also flat bars, but there are speed options that allow you to speed up the notes in the chart to better read them.

Another thing to take into consideration are the hammer-ons and pull-offs in Rock Band when playing guitar. Since they are so strick (for instance your timing for tapping has to be near perfect), reading them while the notes are moving so slowly causes a lot of problems for me, being the biggest reason while I have such a massive amount of trouble in Green Grass And High Tides.

Rock Band NEEDS a patch for faster notes. End of story. If Harmonix expects me to lay down money for DLC, I want a patch so I can ACTUALLY READ what I'm buying.

End of story.

While the note difference is down to personal preference, I can't see how small notes would make it appear more cluttered, surely smaller notes would mean that each note was spaced out more?

And also the HO/POs are the smaller half sized notes, I noticed them a long time ago in the preview videos. They aren't hard to to spot.
