I use to play RB3 on Guitar way back in 2011. Sadly my guitar broke while playing Free Bird(was rocking out too hard) and I pretty much gave up on playing.

2 years later, I managed to get a GH guitar so I can get back into the game. However I am nowhere near as good as I once was so songs like Satch Boogie and anything by Chaotrope is too difficult to be fun at this point.

So is there any good fun songs that can help get me up to speed again? Nothing too easy, but nothing like Dragonforce(bar Cry Thunder which is a lot of fun), Chaotrope, stupid fast strumming RBN songs.

Fun songs that I already play are GG&HTs, Betty and Me, the Bang Camaro RBN songs..etc

Any other songs that are kinda like GG&HTs or just fun charts that's not too insane. I already have Blue Sky and Jessica.

Well i never asked myself the question but i have an answer for it. ;)

It all began when i bought RB3 when it came out. My wife and i can sing pretty good and the harmonies was something we were looking for. The thing that bothers me was even you compete together to get those scores it always goes to only one player. So we did not dig further in that direction. We did some for the goals for rockband setlist and when we have RB party with guest. BUt not much

Time flies and after the last Rockband parties we got with guest we finally had a shot with harmonies. After that we decide to take it seriously. And today was the day.

We took her player for doing it (because i cannot do back vocals, so without her no HS) and we begin around 10 this morning. We choose about 50 song we knew pretty well and know that harmonies part where fun to sings.

Things went pretty fast, and at the end of the day we golded 26 songs !!!

Se we were right about one thing, we make a good singing team !! :)

edit:
I discovered that the notes that were giving me trouble were Bass notes and below my vocal range.
Simply put I will have to shift an octave up to hit them. No other way.

Here is a chart of my Modal Range and my Full Range (includes full Head Voice).
Make your own by downloading the image and using a bucket to fill in colors.
Walking On The Sun
You might as well be walking on the sun.

Good Vibrations
I'm pickin' up good vibrations.
She's giving me excitations.

I can't hit almost anything in Low Rider.

I'm using this mic.

I can't get the dial to move down past a certain point.
I'm trying to sing in the original octave.

Any remedies?

Hello !

I like to sing when I drum. :D
I just connected my mic only for that

But the big problem is that the lyrics are in the top of the screen so it's hard to read them and play in the same time .

Same thing for guitarist who sings of course ;)

Is really impossible to add a little option in RB3 to resolve that ?
I know that I'm dreaming but who knows ?

:D

I recently got a Roland TD-9 set, so I can map open hi-hat hits properly. I have googled for suggestions, but a lot of new songs have been released since those threads. What do you recommend for practicing the hi-hat pedal? Here are the ones I have so far:

Full songs:

Float On - Modest Mouse

Creep - Radiohead (not too many)

Eminence Front - The Who

Mountain Man - Crash Kings

Travelin' Band - CCR

Call Me - Blondie

Heart of Glass - Blondie

The Con - Tegan and Sara

You Outta Know - Alanis Morissette (although I don't think it's *really* played this way? He has a second hi-hat apparently)

I'm Not Down - The Clash

Saturday Night's Alright (for Fighting) - Elton John

All I Wanna Do - Sheryl Crow

Pick Up the Pieces - Average White Band

Roam - B-52s

Train in Vain - The Clash

Great Sections to Practice (a lot of these have YYB, "ts-ts-TSH"):

If the rhythm repeats later I only listed the first section, since you're looping it anyway.

Just a Girl - No Doubt [intro - verse 1]

Don't Speak - No Doubt [Gtr Solo - Gtr Solo A]

Du Hast - Rammstein [Verse 1 | Drum Break]

Smoke on the Water - Deep Purple (16th notes towards end) [TBA]

Centerfold - The J. Geils Band (before each chorus) [TBA]

I'll add more as I play more, and will update with your suggestions.

Hey guys! Today we are very happy to announce the upcoming release of more songs from the creators of heavy metal themselves, Black Sabbath! In addition to "Paranoid" available on disc for Rock Band, these three new songs will be blasts of metal goodness for everyone to jam to!

To begin this pack we have a long time Sabbath favorite, "N.I.B." off of their 1970 self titled debut album. This track features a killer bass intro, dark bluesy vocals and a killer guitar riff only Sabbath could provide.

Next off of the pack is one of Sabbath's all time heaviest tracks, "Sweet Leaf" off of 1971's metal masterpiece "Master of Reality"! Feel the biting darkness of this cutting edge track and relive Lommi's legendary guitar riff in this track!

And finally, fans of a particular former music game may be very familiar with this track. "War Pigs" off of one of the most iconic albums of all time 1970's "Paranoid" will be an absolute jam for all parts. Rock out to one of the most popular classics of heavy metal and rejoice at being able to play it for the first time in a full band setting!

Black Sabbath- N.I.B.*
Black Sabbath- Sweet Leaf*
Black Sabbath- War Pigs*

"*" denotes a specially made cover version by WaveGroup.

All tracks will also be purchasable as Black Sabbath 01.
