Metalcore? I think I've heard the basics, but name those off again just in case please. Albums preferably.

Where as shred metal mostly describes guitar style, dbeat refers to a particular drum style. First used by Motorhead it later became widely used in Scandanavia. A lot of thrash metal (from old like Onslaught to new bands like Toxic Holocaust) use dbeat drumming. Its overlaps with crust punk a lot.

Definitley start with The Perfect is the Enemy of the Good for BBTS. Any of 36 Crazyfist first 3 albums would be a fine starting point for them, but I don't listen to much metalcore anymore so I don't know how their last couple of albums are.
