Metalcore? I think I've heard the basics, but name those off again just in case please. Albums preferably.

Thanks to everyone in this thread for being awesome!!

EDIT: What is Dbeat? I saw it on Onslaught's post.

Where as shred metal mostly describes guitar style, dbeat refers to a particular drum style. First used by Motorhead it later became widely used in Scandanavia. A lot of thrash metal (from old like Onslaught to new bands like Toxic Holocaust) use dbeat drumming. Its overlaps with crust punk a lot.

    Thanks for the reccs stasis.

Either/or. I listen to both, even though the watered down pop stuff is hated on these forums.

    One of each!
Real stuff: Converge - Axe to Fall (probably their most accessible album)
Pop stuff: Heaven Shall Burn - Antigone

Burnt by the Sun - The Perfect is the Enemy of the Good
36 Crazyfists - Bitterness the Star

Definitley start with The Perfect is the Enemy of the Good for BBTS. Any of 36 Crazyfist first 3 albums would be a fine starting point for them, but I don't listen to much metalcore anymore so I don't know how their last couple of albums are.
