So far I've added all of you folks, but only Pubknight seems to have added mine. Just wanted to check that everyone knew we had to both put in each others numbers or you won't show up on the listing in game or when you check Invites and such. (Of course if you've already decided you despise my taste in music by looking at my profile or something and just don't care to add me, well that's OK, too. ;))

Kev2380/Hoodlum and I got to jam a bit today. I noticed that it's kind of hard to figure out a good way to find out what other folks might be interested in doing. I backed out to the practice space to check if any other folks may have gotten on by chance or if maybe Kev wanted to take over on his tour or challenges or something, but he left. So maybe I sucked too mcuh on picking when to get into overdrive (I was doing vocals and you can't just go into overdrive anytime you like as you can with the guitar controller and I don't always remember the more optimal paths or when a song will trap me with excess energy before another overdrive opportunity). ;)

BTW, I'm CST if that means anything to folks. (And I'll be gone for a week starting Sunday.) But I'd still like to hook up with folks if any of you are on, so feel free to send me an invite in game if you see I'm there.

@zarlor: I'll add you as soon as I get a chance to sit and play. And I have to agree with you that communication is one of the bigger problems with the game. The game comes with a microphone, it would be nice to talk to the other players that you exchanged codes with at least. Plus I've run into a problem when I tried to join an invite but the instrument I was playing was already in use, so it kicked me out of the session and I lost the invite. I could go on but I'll spare you my complaints, plus the game is fun regardless.

Hey dude, you didn't suck at all, I thought you backed out to take a break. I want to do a set list with someone. A set of 5 songs that's at one of the venues. If you're up for that let me know. You did pretty good at singing, 100% on most songs on hard. I can't really play more then a few songs on hard, but I can play anything on medium with the guitar. Forgot to say my game name is Hoodlum not Kev2380. I'll try to change that next time I'm online.

One thing that would be nice is if people could vote on what songs to do. I feel kind of guilty running the tours all the time and picking the songs. I don't know if everyone wants to play the ones I pick. I've had a few times where I picked a 5 song set list and people played about 3 songs we all got 5 stars but someone bails and ends up ruining the set. I wish there was a way to keep playing the song if someone disconnects.

I've noticed at the later venues you have to play on hard. I'm having a hard time on these levels. I can play anything on medium but once you add that orange button I get flustered. I guess I just need to practice more. I'll probably be on tonight until 9:30PM or so EST.

I opened most of the venues in my original band doing vocals, and I can esaily get 90+% on hard that way, even for songs I'm not that familiar with, so I hadn't noticed about the later venues. Of course the venues that are easy are going to be the ones in your hometown region, so if you start in Europe, those will be the easy ones, whereas someone who took, say, and East Coast US town will have those as their easy venues. So we can get some variety that way and still stick to some of the easier skill levels if we need to, I think.

I like doing the full band thing, but jumping into subbing on some other band randomly sometimes seems pretty hit or miss on having folks that disconnect on you. That does get pretty annoying. Sometimes it's pretty hard as well if you have someone that selects a difficulty level beyond their ability. It can be fun "saving" them, but gets very frustrating if they fail you out of the song (especially if they just try to do the thing again at the same difficulty.) Sometimes you just need some luck with getting folks who won't disconnect on you (for whatever reason... all too often it could just be a bad connection, as opposed to someone dropping out.)

I have added everyone from this thread, except for Flyturdz as he did not supply his friend code.

Cherkov (Jerko in game) and Zarlor have returned the FCs.
Still waiting to hear back from Kev2380, Lockheed and Billy Pilgrim.

Cherkov and I had the chance to play today for a while.
It was a blast... at least for me... I'll let him speak for himself, though I would hope he shares the same thought.
It was great playing through a few sets with someone without a disconnect, and who understands how to use overdrive.

The only thing that could have been better would have been to have a full band.

Yeah... it was a good time, Pubknight. I mostly play by myself or with my kids in no fail mode (they still don't quite get the concept), but this game is best when playing as a group. I find it's hard to find a full band too, though.

I have the same problem as you Kev2380. Once it hit the point where only hard mode was possible, I was stuck. Can't get that orange button. I have been practicing and found that if I use my thumb for green and fingers for the other four buttons, it's a little easier than trying to move up and down the frets. Now I just have to retrain my brain for the right finger for the right color. I am curious to know what technique other players use.

I'll add you on MisguidedGirl. My code's in my sig too.
