Wow stickied,Billy Pilgrim would be proud.I'll add you tinaroel next time I'm on
Hi ya Pilgrim! I would love to join the band and jam if you’ll have me. I am 35 and I play RB2 and RB TB often. I play all instruments on hard/expert except vocals and primarily drum also. I do love the bass too though. I will follow your link. I hope to jam with you soon.
Hehe-- Jammer- I was worried that you might get lonely with all the xbox Wii-magrants... I hope the sticky helps you hook up with new OMBers ;)
New people, if you follow the instructions on the first post, or this link, I'd be happy to add you to the comprehensive list. And, FYI, Billy Pilgrim has been MIA for a long, long time. But, there are many who still keep his legend alive... lol
Hi Honey Bee. I keep trying to send you a message but it will not let me. Hopefully later on I can send you the message with the invite request information. I tried to go to your website but the page couldn’t be displayed so I may be having connection issues.
Thanks Jammer and Claire ( so nice to play with you again). That was fun! Sorry I stunk up the place....I'll blame it on the Mojito's :)
Wow, Chuck announces he's leaving and look at all the action from the oldies on this thread lol. ;)
Yeah, will miss playing with you Chuck, esp. all the Cars and Boston u love picking when I'm on Vox :D
Sorry I missed your finale, I haven't been playing that much since I came back after a couple months off.
I'm still on Wii unless I get a Box that fell off a truck or something
I'm motilivational!
I think the first xbox DLC I bought might have been the complete Boston pack. Already got the complete Cars album too :D
My finale wound up being me and Clare playing for about 3 hours and picking lots of songs about breakups and loss...
I know you saw this over at HB's forum, John, but I'm gonna repost it here for a bigger audience. I'm trying not to evangelize (because I know the xbox evangelizers drove me nuts six months ago when they were all migrating), just explain why they evangelize in terms clearer than "It's just so much better! Get eet!"

One of the reasons I resisted moving was because I couldn't seem to get anyone to give me clear answers on why the box is so much better, other than graphics (which I really don't care about that much for RB) and RBN (which was tempting bait when it came out, but not enough by itself). In just a few days of getting set up, taking advantage of the DLC sale, remaking a couple characters, and playing a few really easy songs, I've already got a clear list for hesitant wii-sters to consider:
The RB instruments are for-real first class controllers. Every day sitting down at the wii I have to dig out a wiimote to press A, choose RB, press Start, and pass the stupid "don't hurt yourself with the wiimote" screen. Then I put it down and never touch it again and drive from the drums. On the box I can power up the console by turning on the drums and never touch the controller that came with the console. It's really convenient by comparison.
Downloads are done as background processes. I can't be the only one who gets driven mad by having to babysit DLC downloads on the wii. "I'm done downloading!" A. "I'm done moving to the SD card!" A. "I'm done refreshing the DL list!" A. "Look at me! Another pointless message for you!" A! A!A!A!AAAAAAAAAAA! Leave me alone and do your damn job you stupid machine! On the box not only do you NOT have to respond to pointless messages (definition of pointless: the only choice is to press A), you can start a download and go back to playing or tweaking your avatar (it's like a mii) or whatever.
xbox.com integration. This is on a thin line between awesomely-convenient and deadly-to-your-wallet. Related to how downloads work above, you can go shopping on xbox.com from your web browser and the next time you fire up the console anything you bought will quietly start downloading and give you a little notification (which does NOT require you to press A to dismiss) when it's done.
Online friend notifications. Another task I won't miss is making repeated trips back to the Invite Friends screen to see if any new players have turned up. xbox pops up a notification (kind of like the one you get from RB when you get an invite) when anyone on your friends list comes online.
Also, the thought of FINALLY getting to play all the RB1 songs, and finally being able to play some all-one-band setlists (like a Petty one including Free Fallin and the DLC or a Bon Jovi one with Wanted, Prayer, and You Give Love) has me all giddy. Just getting all my songs in one place I think will be worth the price of admission.
At this point pretty much all my fears about moving have been put to rest. The only advantage I can still give to the wii is the free online play, but to get that on the box is only fifty bucks a year (and apparently gives you access to sales on a few downloads occasionally so you can make a little of it back).
Also, I discovered that xbox instruments draw more current than wii instruments, which means they probably eat batteries faster. Not that I care :D
