I know there will be those of you out there who will take the Johnny Rotten "Too Cool For School" approach and say that the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a joke and who cares if you get in or not, but I personally find it absolutely ludacrous that once again that Rush has been passed over for induction.

This is one of the biggest and greatest bands of all time, yet as far as I know haven't even been nominated to be inducted. I may be wrong on whether or not they were even up for consideration, but either way, for them to still not be in the HOF while others who I feel are far less deserving get in is a travesty.

Rush has been nominated numerous times, they just don't want to be in it. Even Geddy says the Hall of Fame is a joke.

Yeah, Rush really doesn't care. When Geddy and Alex were on That Metal Show they said the only thing about not being in it that bothers them is that it upsets their fans.
I'm sure they'll be in eventually. Music with progressive tendencies are generally ignored by critics in general. (And before the 'Rush isn't prog' argument rears its head, their prog albums are the ones best remembered by casual fans, and they still get pigeonholed into categories based on that particular era, as unfair as it may be.)

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a really bad joke.

Iron Maiden, Joan Jett, Yes and Deep Purple aren't in the Hall... but Madonna is.

Yea, the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame is a joke, but then again, it's voted for by a shadowy board of evil bastards that want you to buy something they probably have stocks in. Surprise?

The voting process is a joke. If it was better, the museum would be great. As it is, I like the museum as a place to go see rock mementos and such, but the whole Hall of Fame concept needs an overhaul.
