When I was being shown around Groningen, my friend's boyfriend pointed out a coffee shop to me and said "There's a coffee shop. Dutch people don't really go there. It's mostly for dumb tourists." :p

Winner!

The only side effects of weed are that it makes you really tired, really hungry, and you may lose some of your ambition. You have a much less chance of causing a problem because when your high, you don't see the point in conflict and everything is funny.

When you're drunk, you're just a walking time bomb. You could drive a car and get into an accident, you could start a fight for no real reason, you become an obnoxious ***** (at least a lot of people do), when you're high, you mostly just sit home and do nothing but watch TV and eat Doritos.

To make a long story short, I'd much rather have a bunch of people high than drunk.
