Remember I got the Microsoft discounts now? For God's sake they're already selling Joy Ride on the Kinect early for $20 so my best guess is they're going to have Kinect at half price or so along with Dance Central for the cheap as well if you're interested.

Because there's still the problem that majority of the games will probably control like crap like alot of Wii-mote games or come down to abunch of mini games just like what's being offered at launch? While it has potential, yes, the big question is whether it'll offer games that can make me put down a controller and say "man, I'm glad they put this on the Kinect!" So far only one that does this for me is Dance Central. I Want an experience that doesn't come down to having a seizure to win a sword fight or whatever else. So while I'll probably buy it, I think it's good to go in there with skepticism as opposed to Microsoft's Wii killer.

It's not terribly far but not exactly on the way unless I'm at work and want to take a lunch break. I really should just go try it out ... but it's only three more weeks until I can hog it for hours on end.

I Had class today and you know what I did? Wait forever outside to go into Summit Music Hall and see goddamn Anthrax! For guys all basically in their 50's, besides Joey Belladonna (and Scott Ian's goatee), none of them seem to age EVER. Plus they closed the night with "I Am The Law." So all in all an awesome time.

I'm going to get my Dj Hero after work today. It looks like Best Buy has the best deal if you need a turntable to go with the game. They are throwing in the carrying case from the renegade edition for free. Nobody really has a good deal on the stand alone game though. Not that I need it but I think I am going to get the 1 turntable bundle. Then I will have "4 turntables and a microphone"... and 3 renegade stands... Speaking of, I still gotta get that wired turntable back to you Danny. Maybe tonight, but no promises cuz I'll be spinnin the 1-2's all evening :D

Sounds like we're gonna have a good turnout for Best Buy. I'm trying to decide whether or not to buy RB3 at WalMart at midnight. I know about the drawing but I'd end up selling the guitar anyway. BTW Gabe are you gonna need an extra mic or two for harmonies that day? I could always bring mine.

Get it from Best Buy, that supports the whole reason for Best Buy having this event. Just like "Bar Nights", if the money isn't there, the venue isn't going to keep hosting these special gigs. You can bring an extra mic if you'd like. I have 2 RB mics, 2 wireless logitecs, and 1 Sure mic with XLR to USB Light Snake cable. You guys only like the Rock Band mics though... :rolleyes:

I agree. Complexity of Light is one of their best. The EP as a whole would be epic to have, but I'll be honest; I can't imagine them all being RB Night friendly.

Brian's big on communicating through Twitter & Facebook. I can try to reach him through those avenues, if you'd like. It's entirely possible your e-mails got "lost in the shuffle". He's a busy guy, after all, and might not be thinking about Child's Play until it's a bit closer...

I'd use only RB mics at first to put the new game "through its paces" fairly. I still prefer the real mic, myself. (spelt SHURE :p) It sounds way better. (Though I still think plugging it into the mixer would yield the best sound quality. USB FTL.)
