What could it possibly have, other than new songs and improved graphics and all that hardware jazz? They've already explored their career in its entirety, so I have no idea what core things they could do. Maybe different venues, but that'd still be kind of silly. I just really don't see it happening, man.

Never happen, the Beatles are a protected entity that will not ever be combined with other groups in a game. Elitists, yep, but worthy.

    Use your imagination.

For another, consider the graphics. They're good, but they're basically a 1997 screensaver. If TB:RB2 had more features and better graphics, I guarantee practically everyone here would buy it.

Yes, what features could they implement that would make it worth a $60 purchase once again?

And graphics are certainly not worth $60 either. This isn't Guitar Hero.

No they aren't. They're fine for what they are, but imagine what the game would look like with photo realistic graphics.

As far as what new features could be added, just look around the board. People are always suggesting features that could be added to Rock Band.

And lets not forget that the hardware could change too. Not just the guitars, basses and drums, but the consoles themselves when the next generation comes out.

I think it's a case of a lack of imagination when people say that the current game is the best it can EVER be.

You are getting tons of songs by The Beatles now, there will be no need for a second game of the same name. Next.

I don't think the graphics would ever be photo realistic. HMX probably could have done that if they wanted but they chose not to. Instead, they wanted something more stylized and slightly cartoony.

By the time new consoles are released (3, 4+ years from now), all the Beatles songs will have been released on TB:RB anyways (if HMX chooses to) so there would be no point to making another one.

What are some specific features you have in mind? Not a bunch of small things, but things that couldn't be added in an update or DLC, things that would be worth $60.

How would they make TB:RB2? They can't come up with a new story mode, they can't make a respectable setlist with all their great hits(since most have been used already), etc...

Your argument about these people who don't buy DLC will buy a TB:RB2 is faulty, since a lot of people wouldn't buy 2 because they can't tell the difference and think it's all the same.

Believe it or not, the Beatles had been around under various different names for around five years before they hit it big in 1963- the earliest we see them in the game.

John Lennon formed a band called the Quarrymen in early 1957, and met a 15-year old Paul McCartney while performing a gig at a church fair later that year. Paul spontaneously, and successfully, auditioned there and then. A recording exists of some of the music played that day. Within a few months, Paul convinced John to bring his friend George Harrison into the band, and the three had various other guitarists and drummers in the group, and various names, until they took the name the Beatles in 1960. A recording exists of the Quarrymen singing some rock-and-roll songs, and a McCartney/Harrison piece called "In Spite of all the Danger". Two other performers were part of the Beatles between 1960 and 1962, Stuart Sutcliffe (bass guitarist who became an artist) and Pete Best (a drummer who was fired, he wasn't really gelling with the others). Ringo Starr left his previous band to join the Beatles in 1962. During this period they performed many gigs in Hamburg, and again, recordings exist.

Would all this make an interesting game or expansion pack? A Venue at the Church Fair, another in Hamburg? Maybe. How about their later solo/Wings careers? Maybe.

Even though recordings do exist, they are no doubt in quality that isn't good enough to be in the game. That would be the main problem with that idea. I also don't think it would be very interesting to play just cover songs. I want some original songs to play as well. As for their solo careers, that stuff is for RB2.
