Not in Europe. Great. Since I don't have one, and never
will, all this hoopla about RBN is just a total waste of time
for me, and for those who don't have an xbox and who
    don't live in the US.

Not really a waste of time because the best sellers will be made available to those who are not USA Xbox Users. At least, that is how I read the initial press release.

Right now, XNA is the only way to make this work and it is Xbox exclusive AND I believe the USA thing is due to copyright laws being slightly different between the nations.

It's not a waste of time for the people in Europe at all. They will have access to the RBN store, which will launch with some amazing songs in it.

Same as PS3. Select songs will be added to the store.

In this instance, does Australia count as Europe?

Indeed though europeans cannot submit songs onto the game... sucks for non-american indie bands on that front. I dont see any reason why this can be considered a waste of time, its revolutionary in my opinion.

People are complaining about it being Xbox only but as its the only machine with the tools in place to do it of course its going to be exclusive but not because HMX wanted it to be. Still i am concerned for what songs will port over to the other consoles (not a great way to expose lesser bands if only the bigger sellers are offered elsewhere, i mean great for established bands like Evanescence and Steve Vai who will sell on mass but not really the point of RBN that is it)

That's incorrect. At the moment, they haven't announced any plans for the Wii. Since the Wii doesn't support patches, it currently isn't possible for them to add RBN support to it.

I'm pretty sure that there are no announced plans to bring RBN to Australia in any form, unfortunately.

Maybe they have changed their mind, but from the official press release:

"Stand out tracks will follow on the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system and Wii™ console."

Also, who is to say if they are hand picking the songs and moving them to Wii that they couldn't use the existing store and therefore not need a patch.

Well said. I'm guessing that those lesser bands will get their chance as RBN grows and people "discover" them. Word of mouth and DL stats will probably get some of these bands some exposure. Good music is good music no matter what your name is.
