Sortilège is awesome, the best of the best when it comes to French metal in my mind. I don't know if I enjoy this album or Larmes de Héros more since they're both classics and just about equal to me.

    ALTAR EAGLE - Mechanical Gardens
    Genre: Synthpop/Dreampop
    Year: 2010

Brad and Eden have regularly amazed me with their work in the avant-garde and psych/folk fields, but this is probably their best work yet.
Lots of influences swimming around in here, and they make for a wonderful listen.

Recommended If You Like: Cold Cave, Zola Jesus, and Crystal Stilts.

Falling behind a bit on my listening to these, but slowly starting to catch up. That s/t EP from The **** was excellent powerpop, and that Lucie Cries album... insanely good.
