Not at all. stasis knows a whole lote of gems that the vast majority of the general public has no idea exist. That's why this thread is here, for him to give us awesome recs we'd never be able to find on our own.

Yeah. Usually I consider myself lucky if I know more than one or two from each batch.

I originally intended only to include bands I had never seen mentioned on this forum, but after beginning to share this list with others I tried to only include artists with fewer than 10,000 listeners on last.fm (Quite a bit lower for less popular genres), though I occasionally allow flexibility on that rule if the album in question has a particularly low number.

Glad to see you still doing these. Adding them to my get list as well.

That Whirlaway album will be the first I'll get from the list. I'll probably grab all eventually since they all sound like something I would enjoy.

Man I miss the heyday of this thread.

The recent listing really looks appealing. Starting with the Whirlaway record.

I still have about 100GB of archived tunes that I haven't heard in years to revisit, as well as just under 60GB that are new to me.
This thread has a future, though it's going to be a slower ride as it goes.

Hot damn is that Smoke album a trip. He's a dead-ringer for Tom Waits; an americana version of Joy Division.
