All right, one more season finale down: Fringe. You could kind of tell that they had expected that this could be the series finale, because everything was wrapped up rather neatly (maybe a bit too neatly?) except for the final scene. It was good, but far from the best season finale they've ever done.

I will say, though, that that interrogation scene was the creepiest ****ing thing I've seen on TV in a long time. The combination of that smile, the eye thing and the distorted voice babbling... holy crap.

That episode was brilliant. And is it just me or was that a Sabrina the Teenage Witch running joke in the last episode?
    Mitosis is...

Painfully, but it does kind of suck how Bob Saget said the wedding was bad or problematic or whatever he said. Want to see how that ends up. There was a good Reddit comment on the finale.

That being said, Barney's magic trick and Marshall at the ATM were comedy gold.
    Of course.

Much as I hate Sony and NBC for not taking Harmon up, I'm curious to see what the new showrunners will bring to the formula and will watch it for the cast chemistry.

He'll still be consulting producer, won't he? I've heard several writers quit because of this too, though, so that's not good.

On the other hand, some shows actually get better once the creator takes more of a back seat (Angel comes to mind).

And even if the last season tanks, the last three episodes of season 3 will be a perfect send-off of 'good' Community. Digital Estate Planning was incredibly awesome. I need to watch it again while freeze-framing, so many references and easter eggs in there.

Judging from his latest tumblr post, "Consulting Producer" means pretty much jack-all. He's cleaned out his office and moving on.

And I just got through watching it. It was....satisfying. Probably not objectively great in any sense, but satisfying. If I tried to give a review of it, I'd undoubtedly write a frikkin' book, so I'd just as soon not.

I'll miss the show. I honestly can't think of any other show on right now that I make a point to watch in first-runs.
