So, Amy and Rory (The companions for the past 2 years) are leaving Doctor Who tonight. It sounds like a depressing episode. And it also marks the return of the Weeping Angels, too.

    6. Breaking Bad
    7. Scrubs
    8. House
    9. Big Bang Theory
    10. Monk

Honorable runner-ups: Sopranos & Modern Family

Few good picks there, especially number one :D

My brain is unable to make a general top 10 list so I have to split up comedy and drama, so here's them lists...

    DRAMA:
    1. Six Feet Under
    2. The Sopranos
    3. Breaking Bad
    4. Man Men
    5. Stargate SG-1
    6. Treme
    7. The Wire
    8. Fringe
    9. Lost
    10. Oz

    Honourable mentions:
Dexter, Twin Peaks, House, Battlestar Galactica, Boardwalk Empire

    COMEDY:
    1. Arrested Development
    2. Scrubs
    3. Community
    4. Futurama
    5. Sunny in Phily
    6. Red Dwarf
    7. Louie
    8. Entourage
    9. Californication
    10. Clone High

    Honourable mentions:
The Ricky Gervais Show, Freaks and Geeks, Spaced, Weeds

    CURRENTLY WATCHING:
Boss season 2 (Awesome Starz show, Kelsey Grammer should've been up with Brian Cranston/Jon Hamm/Steve Buscemi for the best actor emmy. I never rated him before but damn he's good in Boss)

Boardwalk Empire season 3 (SPOILER: I knew I wouldn't miss Jimmy)

Fringe season 5 (It's back!! Who would've thought 4 years ago it'd be where it is today? No one! That's who!)

Parenthood season 4 (My guilty pleasure, now with more Ray Romano)

Treme season 3 (Something about this show just works for me, can't get enough of it. Such a good ensemble of characters and what a setting. Well made TV)

Animal Practice season 1 (I'm giving it a shot, dunno if it'll last, sometimes weak but then it'll surprise me and pull out genuine laughs.)

Then just the network comedies... Big Bang, HIMYM, Modern Family

Is this the Cinemax spinoff of Mad Men? :P

Finally started watching Doctor Who, due to tremendous peer pressure from almost everyone I know. I have to say, I quite like it so far. I've heard the guy who plays the doctor changes eventually, and I'm not looking forward to that, I like the guy they have at the beginning.

and the return of Fringe! it's sad that this is it's final season :( but at least knowing so, the writers might give us a good resolution.

Since we're doing the top 10 thing, here are mine (in no particular order):

    Drama top 10:

    - Deadwood
    - Six Feet Under
    - The West Wing
    - Babylon 5
    - Rome
    - Game of Thrones
    - Fringe
    - Oz
    - Star Trek: Deep Space 9
    - Angel

I should note that I still haven't gotten around to watching Dexter, Mad Men or Breaking Bad, and my one previous attempt at getting into The Wire failed miserably, but that might be because it was a bit too heavy a subject matter at a time when we needed something a bit more light-hearted).

    Comedy:

    - Community
    - Futurama
    - Flight of the Conchords
    - Frasier
    - Blackadder
    - Father Ted
    - The Simpsons
    - How I Met Your Mother
    - Archer
    - Monty Python's Flying Circus

Hoping on the Top Ten bandwagon:

    1. Tales from the Darkside
    2. The Twilight Zone (1959)
    3. Star Trek: Next Generation
    4. Law & Order: SVU
    5. Law & Order: CI
    6. Unsolved Mysteries
    7. The X-Files
    8. Spongebob (Nostalgia, nostalgia, where art thou?)
    9. Mystery Science Theater 3000
    10. Robot Chicken

The term 'television show' is used loosely here. Firefly, Cold Case, and Millenium just missed the cut. Also, with all the love for The Wire on here, would you say it's a similar show to Homicide: Life On The Street? I like the latter a lot and I'd love to get into The Wire, but I really don't have much time to watch TV anymore so I want to know if i'll like it before committing. :D

Oh man, the Last Resort pilot was really good. Wondering how the show can function well enough with its fairly limited locations, but damn. That is a strong start.
