Alright guys, I think it's about time we start taking wagers on which other songs will be the next singles.

My first bet would be on Resistance - now that they've got their footing on the charts with Uprising, moving to the title track seems like the next logical step. I could also see MK ULTRA as single material. It's got a sort of SSPU sound that is very in on alternative rock radio right now.

What do you guys think?

I just thought I d wander over from the 80s hairband thread to this one as I love the 1 Muse song we have. There are over 10 000 posts on here and that is just crazy....I dont understand how this band can be ignored anymore. Makes me feel that these forums are absolutely useless for asking for what you want. Its pretty disheartening.

I'd love to see Resistance as the next single, but Undisclosed Desires wouldn't surprise me. MK Ultra as a single would be great as well.

I'm pretty sure that Resistance and Undisclosed Desires will be singles, could also see MK Ultra and Unnatural Selection as singles though.
Still torn between OoS and TheRes being my fave album... : /

Undisclosed Desires is just a beautiful song! I love the chorus!

They probably will.

While Mk Ultra is a great song, I don't see it as a single. The reason is because Resistance and Undisclosed desires, with Uprising, are on that little sticker that says featuring songs like. United States of Eurasia because Matt said that he thinks USoE is one of the best on the album. He also said that with Invincible and that became a single. Also, that was the first song released with the whole treasure hunt. If USoE isn't a single, then my other choice would be Unnatural Selection.

I don't think Unnatural Selection would make a good single. It's kind of long, and it sounds really forced to me (I like the music, the vocals aren't Matt's best).

I'd say the vocals sound forced on a couple of tracks, actually. Unnatural Selection for sure, some of the lyrics in MK Ultra ("erased with one stroke" would flow so much better if it was "erased in one stroke", for example), and the parts where Matt's trying to fit the words into the verse in USoE.

When USoE is played on the radio here they cut out Collateral Damage.
By the way, Uprising is on top of the weekly chart on Iceland's only rock radio station. USoE is in fourth place :)
