And please don't take this the wrong way, but it's not the requesters' fault that HMX keeps absolutely silent about why no Muse is released (although they probably have a good reason).
HMX doesn't say anything about ANY band not releasing content. We haven't heard them try to explain the lack of Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Tool, or any of those bands. Or for that matter, why we haven't seen any DLC from other previous Rock Band artists like Garbage or Rolling Stones for ages. It's just not good business to come out and say "Yeah, Muse is asking for too much money" or whatever the reason is.

I personally think HMX would love to be able to release more Muse, they are well aware of the demand. Muse fans are VERY vocal, that's where the joke comes from, but I wouldn't be surprised if HMX's jokey attitude towards it stems in part from frustration that they keep hearing about Muse and there's likely some label-related reason why we haven't seen any since Hysteria. I hope that something will eventually be worked out, but I highly doubt it's HMX that's holding it back.

While I agree that it helps no one if HMX makes a statement, the fact is that there is a portion of the Rock Band playing community that wants more Muse songs in the game and wants to pay HMX a lot to get it.

I mean, it's sad that someone felt a need to chart 30 seconds of an April Fool's "leak" of a new song in order to get the staisfaction of seeing a Muse song in the Rock Band format. I could point to a lot of those types of custom charts floating around youtube. That is money that HMX could be making, but for some reason, is not.

Note: While that audio for "Supremacy" (working title of one of the new songs) was faked, it was based on the actual sheet music that the band tweeted a picture of. I'm hoping that the actual track sounds good when the album comes out in 6 months.

The new album is rumored to have a release date of September 17th.

IF this is true, HMX would likely need to start licensing right about now to make sure any tie-in DLC is ready in time.

Bought Showbiz. Listened to most, but not all of it. Sounds pretty great, but I'll have a better opinion later.

A lot of people put it down, but even though it was their debut album it has nothing to be ashamed of. Sober and Hate This & I'll Love You are the only songs that I don't listen to that often (weird not to find a connection with a Muse song, huh?)..lol..but Showbiz (track) is my favorite..I just wish I could sing to those insane vocals in RockBand..=/

    or earlier...

I know this is probably a crazy thought to say but we could have a Muse song in Blitz. From looking at the 4 songs already announced, 3 are the most popular song from a new band to the RB franchise as well as 1 of the top 10 most requested songs on the request app here on the RB website. Sure it's probably a thought that would likely lead to disappointment but we'll see in a couple of months.

As amazing as MUSE is, I think I'm about to move on... After a couple years of being a fanboy (of sorts) I'm ready to accept we'll never get MUSE DLC -- and even if we did, it wouldn't be as fun as it would've been about 2 years ago.

That said, stuff earlier than Showbiz is kind of fun to listen to -- especially the Muse EP (their first production; only 999 made - of which I have one :D,) they sound pretty young.

Absolution was the best, but I don't think we're going to get that again. It's sort of like Pearl Jam - Ten was the best and everything else: MEH. MUSE has peaked, and I'm done.

To show my sincerity my sig has been changed, removing MUSE from my wishlist.

Giving up on Muse DLC is not an option for me. If nothing else, this has become sort of a proof of concept. "You guys say you listen to the majority? Then prove it." It's a shame. The RB people are doing such a great job releasing songs every week, really putting their hearts into it, and for some reason they seem to ignore the highest requested band all together. It seems unreasonable to the naked eye. Sure they probably have their reasons, but does that mean people can't grow impatient? Is it really such a mystery why people who want more Muse have grown impatient? Not giving a clue of the reason of the lack of Muse in RB might be good for business, but it leaves people to speculate. And speculation of this nature often ends bad. We have seen this in action several times, for instance the "Harmonix hates MUSE for some reason?" thread on these boards. These conclusions are unpleasant for everyone and threads like the one mentioned are not furthering any cause, but how much can people who made them be blamed?

I must admit that my admiration and excitement for Rock Band has more or less plummeted since RB 3, mostly because of the lack of Muse. I have bought many a great song and my song library has a decent selecion. I thank you for the immensely good music experience you have given me over the years, but these songs are now overplayed. There is however something you can do to end this disappointment, and I am pretty sure you know what it is. Sure the haters would complain like crazy, but why cling on to a shear of hate in a sea of appreciation?

I hope this gets to you somehow
