Muse doing dubstep could be either terrifically awesome or horrifically bad.

The intro music to that trailer is great. Let's just hope the wubwub is an attempt at trolling.

The thing is, it's not really dubstep.

After listening to the trailer a few times, it's starting to grow on me. It doesn't sound any different to the post-song riffage Matt does on the Kaos pad in concert.

I'm glad that there's going to be AT LEAST one heavy song on the album.

The 2nd Law is being released on Tuesday September 18th, 2012.

So, let's hope HMX started the licensing process for some Muse tracks in January.

C'mon, HMX. All 3 members of Muse just carried the 2012 Olympic torch. If that doesn't make them awesome and worthy of DLC, then what does?

    Meh :p

Anyway, reread 1984, reminded me how much I'd like Citizen Erased in RB.

And yeah, Muse doing dubstep... doesn't sound pretty.

    It's not, technically, dubstep.

The "dubstep" part in that trailer was done with real instruments and not sampled loops.

I sure hope the album won't be filled with dubstep, real imstruments or not. I'm still optimistic about the album though and I'll definately buy it. :)

It is to be released in september, right?

From what I saw it looked like a concept album or a rock opera about the world fighting for remaining fuel sources. I'm guessing different styles will represent different characters, because it went radically from symphonic to electronic (would not call that dubstep) I'm fascinated by the direction and honestly can't wait to see how it turns out.
