    That's the problem though, Sarge.

Guitar Hero can get a total of 8 unique songs on their series.

Rocksmith (a game with no proven track record) is able to have 2 Muse songs on it's disc.

Rock Band has a total of one song that was released four years ago.

What the hell is HMX doing wrong in trying to get more Muse songs for the platform? Their main rival had no issues doing it time and again, while the new kid on the block can do it the first time out. Yes, I know that Rocksmith doesn't need masters to have songs in the game, but the point still stands that they were able to license those songs.

I think what helped Rocksmith, even though it was the new kid on the block, was that it was a game designed to teach guitar and be used with real instruments. Guitar Center got behind it, various musicians got behind the game, and I think it has a "legitimate" teaching factor that games like GH and RB have never been able to really claim (even with RB3's Pro-Mode).

That's my personal reason why the new kid on the block is nailing down some great artists, that neither of the other major music games have gotten!

That's the biggest problem with Rocksmith. I knew a couple friends who were pretty big fans of Rock Band in the RB1/RB2 era, but not so much by the time RB3 rolled out, so they didn't even realize RB Pro mode existed until they saw Rocksmith. And I think the majority of the gaming world has the same issue.

With no Guitar Hero around this time, it's probably too much to hope that there will be some cross promotion for The 2nd Law on Rock Band.

Judging by the amount of video game sites that claimed Rocksmith was the first game that allowed you to play real guitar, I'm betting the same thing.

Sounds good. I actually like it when the "dubstep" part kicks in. The intro is cool, but seems a little long like it should be another song.

It's only the first part of "The 2nd Law" songs. I think on the album when it's partnered with "Isolated System" it will make a bit more sense musically.
