The March 26th release (penultimate week) will be a pack as mentioned by HMX a couple of times recently. This is our last stand and if we don't get Muse then at least we'll have an idea of why only 1 song in 2008 was released in the whole 5 and a half years lifespan via the PAX East panel.

I could easily name 5 Muse songs that could be final songs, hell I'll give you 10.

    Sing for Absolution
    Time is Running Out
    Take a Bow
    Shrinking Universe
    Stockholm Syndrome
    Thoughts of a Dying Atheist
    Apocalypse Please
    The 2nd Law Unsustainable
    Starlight
    Space Dementia

When you get down to the nitty gritty of Muse they have a lot of dark, apocalyptic, depressing tones.

I feel like the pack could be a mix of their poppier songs and the fan favorites, so here's my pack:

    Uprising O
    Stockholm Syndrome OX
    Madness O
    Supermassive Black Hole
    Plug in Baby OX
    Knights of Cydonia O

Seems the most likely. I mostly just really want Plug in Baby.

Honestly, Muse seems the most likely pack, since for a while, the four biggest requests were Radiohead, Muse, Rush, and Pantera. Pantera and Rush got a bunch of new stuff, and Radiohead won't happen, since they are very fickle about their songs and mastering. So Muse seems like a good bet.

I'm surprised Pantera was top 4 requested and would have expected A7X to be there instead. Either way, you would be able to use the same logic as for Pantera. I'm thinking it'll be Muse for a different reason, HMX have always joked about Muse DLC in various situations (censoring on the livestream chat, stuff which has happened at PAX panels, etc.). When the DLC ends on April 2nd, they won't be able to do that anymore so the joke would be gone hence they would want to give the fans DLC to properly end this long term joke.

If nothing else, they'll have to address the Muse issue at their PAX East "tell-all" Q&A.

Ok, nope. I refuse to get my hopes up about a band that would have been released by now. Harmonix have known how popular they are in the request forums and on the dashboard. It's been 5 and a half years now, it would/should have happened. While a pack by them would be best possible scenario for me in the second to last week, I'm flat out denying it'll happen, and re-adjusting my hopes for something cool in it's place.

^ This is what I want to find out. It can't be masters missing, It can't be exclusivity. So I'd love to know what made it difficult for them to licence new music. I'm putting my money on the label just being difficult and asking for too much money... That, or Harmonix really doesn't like them at all.

Sorry to bring the tone down, but as RBR isn't here, I have to re-align your expectations myself. Don't get your hopes up and enjoy what comes out instead :)

Indeed! They will have to address the Muse issue. Joking about the most reqested band without releasing any songs (not couting Hysteria, as the joking commenced after its release) or telling why is downright cruel and unreasonable and also rather unprofessional

Rather than let this thread Dry up and die off, have a look at this video. Pretty good for a competition entry and perfectly captures the subject matter of the song. Worth a watch!

Well, dudes, it's over. Muse never made the cut a second time. I guess we'll always have Hysteria.
