Need help in lego rock band

I have the wii version and can't figure out how to customize the rock den when using the drums. It also won't let me change to short version. I don't have this problem when using guitar, just drums. Any suggestions? I am using the beatles rock band drum kit.

I think both of those are activated by pushing the bass pedal on the drums. Just go into the Rock Den and push the bass pedal and it should let you customize it. Push the pedal when you're selecting the difficulty for a song to pick the short version.
