The clocks ticking... sure HMX will continue to support the franchise but this generation of console game is dying. Wii U comes at the end of the year and next year we will see the announcement and perhaps late year release of Microsoft and Sony efforts.

As such HMX will then need to look to moving onto them too. Wouldnt blame them neither - i can tell you for fact how many people i knew who loved RB back in the day didnt make the transition from RB2 to RB3. The userbase for RB now is likely far to small to NOT move on and give it a fresh go.

The best that could come from next gen would be that the Nintendo console won't get the short end of the stick anymore.

Not entirely, some issues were hardware restrictions, not policies.

the hardware and software restrictions are also their fault. they chose to make things incompadible for reasons... it's why Sony even has a playstation... they turned down panasonic's idea of a "Super Playstation" and went with the idea of the N64 instead because they didn't want to use something using disc format. they have always been like that, it's why the "nintendo seal of quality" shenanigans drove out independent developers in favor of corporate whores. they dig their own graves in the course of functionality... but that's not important right now... what is important is that TAG has some killer stuff lined up and I'm extremely excited :)

Any progress on the Kissin' Dynamite label issues?

I don't get this labels and their politics, don't they understand that RBN is another source of income?
I know it's not much money, but it's something.

    Working on it :)

A major chunk (almost all) of our authors are deep in college right now, and I can't stress how much the extra work of second, third, fourth year of majors is REALLY eating into authoring time right now).

Things are moving at a dramatically slower pace than last spring/summer at Team TAG, but we're still working on stuff, it's just going to take a lot longer than normal to get from stems to store.

As for Kissing Dynamite, the labels are still bickering, but there's been no movement yet. I'll post when I know something one way or the other.
