Yeah, there were lyric typos that were only on normal vocals and didn't show up with harmonies which caused it to be overlooked.

I'm kinda dissappointed, too. Carnival of Rust is a good track and I'll buy it for sure, but there were better tracks on the list. Hope we eventually get more than just this single track.

Post from our brothers in (Damn) This Desert Air

The big album, with an even bigger heart!

It’s easy to forget natural disasters when they no longer make the news headlines, but the people left behind continue to struggle sometimes for years after the event.

In March 2011, Japan was hit by a life changing series of earthquakes and a devastating tsunami where families and homes were literally torn apart.

Engineer Records has not forgotten this awful tragedy and is doing something to raise much needed funds for the homeless children of Japan.

With the help of its good friends in the music world, it has brought together a moving charity compilation Unity.

The album features The Gaslight Anthem, Funeral For A Friend, Moneen and Fightstar, as well as a host of other fantastic artists, and includes many exclusive tracks that won’t have been heard before and which have been produced solely for this compilation – so you wont be able to get them elsewhere.

The Unity download will be available as a set of 25 tracks – so for a small donation you get the whole album. Initially, it will be available from Bandcamp and 100% of the proceeds raised from donations will go to the charity. It will also be available from iTunes, Amazon, and Spotify at a later date.

Proceeds will go to Save the Children’s Japanese Earthquake and Tsunami appeal (http://www.savethechildren.org.uk/en...ami-appeal.htm)

Some Pirate Metal Heading to the RBN!

Our brothers over at Napalm Records are going to bring Alestorm to the game!

Avast, ye landlubbers! From the deepest darkest depths of eastern Scotland comes ALESTORM, a drunken band of two mad Scots and two Irishmen on an epic quest to slay posers, drink beer, and be the greatest damn band that ever did sail the Seven Seas! Describing their style as "True Scottish Pirate Metal", Alestorm plays an infectious blend of folk and power metal in the vein of Korpiklaani and Turisas, but with a unique piratical twist. ALESTORM are coming to kick ass and chew gum, and they're all out of gum.

ALESTORM formed in 2006 and after gaining a cult following in their local scene, they quickly inked a record deal with Austria's Napalm Records. After a few line-up changes early on, the band eventually settled on their current swashbuckling crew comprising Christopher Bowes, Daniel Evans, Gareth Murdock, and Peter Alcorn.

Drawing on wide stylistic influences, such as Bal-Sagoth and Primordial to name but a few, ALESTORM released their debut album "Captain Morgan’s Revenge" in 2008 to great critical acclaim, followed swiftly by their sophomore album "Black Sails at Midnight" in 2009. Now, after cementing their reputation as a kick-ass live band with countless hundreds of shows around the world, ALESTORM returns in 2011 with their third album "Back Through Time".

"Back Through Time" promises to be an epic adventure through the piratical bad assery of 11 tracks, with many more drunken sing-along anthems than you can shake a stick at. Expect songs about midgets. Expect songs about Wisconsin. You may even expect songs about travelling through time to kill Vikings, and of course, loads of songs about pirates doing what they do best: Kicking your ass and stealing your wenches!

"Back Through Time" will be released as a regular jewel case edition, a limited edition digibook including 2 bonus tracks, and as deluxe box set edition including the digibook and an exclusive Captain Morgan pendant.

    ALESTORM is:
    Christopher Bowes - Vocals/Keyboards
Dani Evans - Lead & Rhythm Guitar
    Gareth Murdock - Bass
    Peter Alcorn - Drums

That's awesome you guys snagged Alestorm! I just wrote them a few weeks back asking if they would bring their stuff to the RBN! So based on this announcement are we getting the whole album? What song(s) will be 1st?

I'll tip my hat to Shipwrecked.
