Pretty sweet stuff! Have you guys ever heard of Skyfire or Bal-Sagoth? I would kill to get some of those bands on RBN. Both would work perfectly with the game and it would give us keyboard players some challenge for once.

Celebrate Halloween by doing the Monster Stroll! Jocko of Sha Na Na brings "The Monster Stroll" to the Rock Band Network.

Jocko, now in his fifth decade with Sha Na Na, was the first to walk onstage “greased and ready to rock & roll” in 1969. That same year, at age nineteen he appeared with the group at The Woodstock Festival. He holds the distinction along with fellow Sha Donny of performing in both the most successful music documentary ever (Woodstock) and the most successful rock & roll film musical ever (Grease). Juggling his schedule around his touring, Jocko earned both a B.A. from Columbia and a Masters in Drama from New York University.

When not with Sha Na Na, Jocko is an actor, producer and a songwriter. His acting credits include TV’s “Veronica Mars”, “NYPD Blue”, “Alley McBeal,” “The Tiger Woods Story”,” “Herman’s Head,” “Good Advice” and ”18 Wheels of Justice”.

“New Nobility” has taken the charts by storm across the globe with Galactic from their newest album BLUE BUTTERFLY (REVOLUTION). Following on with their second track from their EP, the title track “Blue Butterfly (Australia)” pays homage to their Wide Brown Land. “Let’s Make A Better World” leans more towards an ‘every man’s’ pop rock sensibility. New Nobility is an apt name for a band who delivers a ‘breath of fresh air’ rock sound. Melodious rock like this doesn’t often come from Australian shores – and how the US and UK are taking a shine to these fine musical craftsmen on a clear mission. They have won numerous awards including the Music Aid Award for “Best Band 2007” in the U.K. and the World Peace and Music Award in India. While the band can be likened in places to previous great bands of the 80’s/90’s like Giant or perhaps Kings X et al, this band is clearly offering a universal rock sound with an obvious Australian flavor – political at times, but as the state of the entire musical world in which we create music in 2010 clearly shows, these are the voices, reactions and thoughts of the now evolved generations.

Deadlock is out today enjoy!


Deadlock incorporate melodic death metal as well as some melodic metalcore aspects. What makes Deadlock different is the combination of death growls by vocalist Johannes Prem and the clean vocals of Sabine Weniger. Also included in their sound are techno sections, often used as intros but sometimes used as a whole breakdown section, where the 'metal' completely cuts out and a techno beat starts.

This song is awesome and everyone should buy it.
