I feel like Deux Ex's ending was very fitting for the series as a whole, though.

Really, anyone who liked Human Revolution should go back and play the old ones.

The ending just wasn't satisfying enough. None of the characters had any closure, hell the world itself had no closure and just felt like a stepping stone to the original. I want to know what happened to everyone, dammit!

Human Revolution's ending was a little abrupt and uneasy, but painted a decent enough picture for the future.

Uneasy is a good way to describe it, though I think thematically it really fits Deux Ex. That type of ending on Mass Effect is a different story.

I was wrong to trash Survival Mode in I AM ALIVE. It's an excellent extra added challenge for those who have already beaten the game once. In addition to fewer retries, there are also fewer supplies available in general, so you have to constantly evaluate when you want to use your items. Not the least is bullets - you have to always look for other ways to finish off your opponents, such as kicking them into a pit or onto a fire. Supplies being so meager, you have to also call into question, if I took a couple of machete hacks in this fight, might it be better to restart the episode and try to get through it cleanly rather than heal myself with supplies, because I might need them later on.

As I said, a great little extra bit of replay value.

I've almost wrapped up my third playthrough of Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors on my DS, which I started playing on vacation and can't bring myself to put down until I've seen the 'true' ending (which I've managed to get on this playthrough). Fun little game, although the puzzles are a bit on the easy side. The story makes up for it, though, especially how the results of your choices on what happens really make sense (which leads to the game having several different endings).

NINE NINE NINE IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD

I don't love it as much as Nucleose does, though. I recommended it to him and his love of it far surpassed my own. I think it's one of the DS's best titles, but a bit overshadowed by the Phoenix Wright series, while he thinks it's one of the best games of all time.

I'm just not a fan of *insert spoiler trope here* that 999 uses.

Anyway, I've played more of Catherine (I'm almost done with Stage 7) and got some Silent Hill 2 HD done.

Been playing through Mario Kart 7, it's pretty solid, though a bit generic. Adding a glider that pops out on long drops isn't really ground-breaking.

How would you rank it with the rest of the series?

I beat Batman Arkham City this weekend... it was cool (still kinda like Asylum more)

now I am trying to get all the Riddler stuff... there is so many!
