I was thinking it'd be funny, too. But the jokes seem almost callous and/or rushed, as if PETA was going "GET IT?!? IT'S A SNORLAX!!!!!"

And playing it was dull. It's a cool concept for a parody game, which in my own made-up theory the game was probably supposed to be until PETA decided to add Animal Rights messages.

Wasn't planning on picking up Halo 4 day one, but I did on a whim, and it's been great so far.

I've only played the solo campaign, but the changes and tweaks done by 343 Industries (as opposed to original dev Bungie) are making me consider this the best Halo yet.

Started Halo 4's campaign last night, had to stop for some shut-eye right before I hopped in the Mantis for the first time. I also got to play some multiplayer at a friend's house and had a good time. The core "Halo" feel is there, but it's definitely 343i's baby now. One of the big changes is that the weapon spawns on the maps are no longer central control points now that players can summon weapon drops. It totally changes the dynamics of the maps now that players can adjust their tactics on the fly. Some people may hate this, but it's a welcome change for me. I still can't stand the DMR in multi, though. I'm more of a mid to close-range player so I'm always getting picked off by sharpshooters just outside my sight in big maps.

I also really hate having sprint allocated to the left stick. I have the worst time trying to hold the button down and press forward at the same time. I'll have to see if there's a layout that's more to my liking.

The campaign is great save for places that show up every now and then that were a little too well catered for co-op play. The best example I've seen so far is when you get the Warthog shortly after arriving on Requiem. After a short drive you arrive in a field with Covenant camps in three locations. You're clearly meant to have a gunner in this area, because taking the camps out on foot is a huge pain in the butt (and just trying to run them all over is risky because some of the Grunts are packing fuel rod guns). For people like me who prefer to campaign solo, it's irritating when I come across areas like that.

But DANG this game is pretty. And it's quite a change of pace having a central villain in the series.

Also, the Forerunner weapons are awesome.

I played through the first 2 mission of Halo 4 and do not want to play any more. Ammo amount sucks espically when the enemies take a ton of bullets to kill.

I don't think anyone plays Halo for the campaign.

No one plays Call of Duty for the campaign and those are actually fun to play. This is not.

I play games for the single player and maybe co-op. Competitive MP can screw off.

I wonder what HDH thinks of Halo because the ammo thing is definitely artificial difficulty.
