It will work just fine, and yes, you'll need a standard MIDI cable to use it with the MIDI Pro.

Please move this to the correct thread.
I cannot hit red+blue and footpedal together on any song without it not registering every time. If a sequence has red/blue/footpedal together as a block of 4 or 5 notes in a row I will only register 2 of them at most. I have no trouble with all other combinations of colours, just Red+Blue+Foot Pedal all at the same time.
Some help please?
Thanks
I know this is an old thread, but I just got my Simmons sd7pk. I can't get any of the 300 voices to trigger anything in the game. I'm using freestyle mode to experiment. Ok, I just thought of something...instead of dragging the whole set to the tv, I just took the module, which has buttons for each drum/cymbal. But now I'm wondering if the buttons actually trigger everything inside the module just like the pad inputs. Hmmm...I get sound from the headphones when I push these buttons, but still not sure they trigger the MIDI out.
OK, in case it helps someone some time. The Simmons SD7PK does appear to work fine, out of the box. Just gotta use the actual trigger inputs, as the buttons on the drum module do not appear to affect the MIDI output. Interesting though, it appears that the MIDI outputs are standard values for each trigger input, and are NOT affected by the module's voice numbers. So the voice numbers don't affect what MIDI notes are output by the module. I'm a lefty and my kit was completely backwards, except for the crash cymbal. But I didn't think to disable lefty mode in the game to see if that made it perfect. I'm guessing that it will.
Hi I have a Roland TD4 and I can't seem to get it to work. I have all the pads mapped according to the manual and a usb midi in - midi out cable but nothing I do seems to be working any help?
If the TD4 only had a USB out then you'll have to use something like a computer to receive the USB signal and convert it to legacy 5 pin MIDI that the MIDI Pro Adapter can accept. There are a number of posts with more details, many in connection with keyboards that only have USB MIDI out. If you search for "MIDI-OX" you should find these posts.
I'm trying to use a real guitar connected to the midi pro adapter using a roland GR-30 midi device. The game allows me to enter in the guitar pro mode but did not recognize any note. If I switch the midi pro knob to keyboard and use the guitar the game accpet and recognize the guitar like a keyboard. Anybody know how to make this work like a guitar?
