I was wondering if anyone else had an issue with missed notes with this kit, I'm almost sure it's the sensitivity but I'm not sure where the settings are for that or what would be an optimal value, any help guys?

Initially I was getting extra notes. Turned out the sensitivity was too high. Turning it down helped. The cymbal adjustments are on the the head. I think the rest have to be adjusted from the brain.

Optimal value will depend on how you play. You may have to adjust the settings once you get settled into your groove.

Did you try changing Velocity sensitivity adjustment for Drums

Does anyone know if the MIDI pro adapter could work as a replacement for the ION drum brain? My set has had severe cross-talk issues which can't be fixed since ION Audio did not program any way to adjust their drum sets' sensitivity. Since the MIDI adapter can adjust sensitivity, I'd like to know if anyone can enlighten as to whether or not it will work for the ION sets; it would be a lot cheaper than having to buy a completely new drum set.

Since the MPA requires MIDI input, and the Ion's stock brain doesn't output MIDI, you won't be able to do what you're asking with it. Do note that you can buy just a new Ion brain without having to buy a whole new kit. If you want more features (such as configurable sensitivity) though, you might consider getting a real e-drum brain instead.

    MIDI PRO-adapter just keeps flashing
    Hello

I bought a used Midi PRO adapter on eBay. I hooked it up to my Xbox 360 but it just keeps flashing green from the guide button. When I connected my MIDI-keyboard (Miditech Midistart-3) to it, the little green button to the right of the "BACK" button registers my playing, but my Xbox doesn't react in any way. I can't get it to connect in any way, with or without keyboard. It is connected to the Xbox through the USB-cable and to the keyboard through MIDI.

    What is wrong? Please help.

    Best regards

Did you put the switch on K? (K for keyboard).

If yes, it is possible that the USB cable is not functioning properly. I can't confirm though, obviously.

Yes, I have switched to and from K several times. In "G"-mode, it does the S.O.S. morse code and in "K"-mode it flashes when i press a key on the keyboard. Everything in the adapter itself seems to work, which is strange.

If it is the USB-cable that isn't functioning, I guess nothing can be done.

Does the MIDI PRO adapter work just to navigate through menus in RB3 or do you have to connect an instrument to it first? I'd like to know, just to be able to rule out that it's my keyboard that doesn't work.

    Best regards

As far as I know any keyboard with a MIDI out should work, as well as any e-drum kit. Sadly I never owned a MIDI adapter so I can't confirm what I say, but if you want to clear your mind and know someone else with a MIDI keyboard or a e-drum kit, you might wanna try them to be sure that it is not your keyboard, even if I doubt that the keyboard is the problem.

If it is in fact the USB cable (which I doubt too, since there's power coming to the adapter if you say that the light blinks) you can always cut it and attach another to it, a USB cable is a USB cable.

Sincerly, I really can't help you, wish I could. I hope someone else has run into this particular problem and help you solve it.

Another thing, which I doubt too, would be an XBOX update that messes with the compatibility with the adapter, but this is highly doubtfull.
