In your case, the answer is yes.
Hi ! There are people saying that the Roland TD-4 works perfectly while others say it doesn't ! (Open high hat problem or something) . Does the new TD-4K2 work without problems while the TD-4S has this problem or do they both have this problem ?? Best regards from Sweden
Some kits allow you to map open and closed notes on the HH to yellow and blue independently. The TD4 does not.
This is not really a big deal at all for 3 reasons.
1. Open and closed HH charting is not consistant.
2. It is a VERY advanced game mechanic and generally results in lower scores when you (read: I) do it but it does add realism.
3. It can be overcome with the additon of a 125.00 MIDI event processor.
The TD4 is a great starter E-Kit, go for it.
Ok , Thank you ! I was going to buy the TD-4 K2 drum kit for my son because the old guitar hero kit broke . He became so good at drumming that I thought it would be funnier for him to play the real thing ! We already have the Mad catz midi pro adapter .
So , this hi hat thing , can he play Rock band 3 with the Midi pro even if we cannot do this hi hat thing ?
Best regards , Ulf G.
A lot of songs have you play yellow notes for closed hi-hat notes and blue notes for open hi-hat notes (or vice versa for us leties). If your drum kit is versatile enough, you can program it to send a yellow note when the hi-hat pedal is down, and blue when up. If your drum kit does not have that ability, you'll just hit a different cymbal for the yellow notes the same way you would with the official RB drum controller.
So , if I understand this correctly , I can play rock band 3 without problems on the TD4K2 drum set just like i would play on the original rock band 3 drum set - That high hat thing is just a bonus if you have such a drum set ?
Ok , Thank you very much ! ! ;)
Hi again !
Does anybody know if DM 10 Studio kit works with Mad Catz midi pro ?
I think I will buy either DM 10 or Roland TD4K2 !
i have been looking for a keyboard that will work and have thought of either the Yamaha YPT-220 or the acoustic solutions mk 928. anyone know if either of these will with the pro midi adaptor on the xbox 360, as i have searched google and have drawn a blank, both as supposed to be midi but i have yet to find any pictures of the midi port on them.
i would prefer the yamaha if anyone has it and can confirm if it works as i might get it tomorrow
