Felix likes to hit, but apparently he really likes to hit on June 23 :D

And then after Felix's double, Ichiro walked, and Franklin Gutierrez grounded out to short. But the shortstop didn't throw to first. He threw to...third?!? WTF is up with that? But they did get the force on Felix. I was hoping he'd get to come around and score :p

Would've been nice if he scored but he did get 2 RBIs to go with his pitching and got a win. Perhaps Seattle should switch to the NL so they can utilize King Felix's hitting since Petco didn't affect the M's the same way Safeco seems to psychologically damage them. ;)

Mariners lose to the Padres today 2-0, to finish 1-5 against them on the season. The Padres are 5-1 against the Mariners...and 21-46 against everyone else.

    That is just embarrassing.

I've talked about the Mariners blog I like to read and occasionally comment to, yes? The consensus there before the season was ".500, here we come!" I said "Wait, what??" and was told to stop being so negative, darnit! Now they're just saying "Yeah, whatever," as another 90-plus loss season looks like a cinch. Seems hypocritical.

They just said Joba Chamberlain should be back in August.

Considering his injury, that's pretty impressive.

for many Sox fans, losing Kevin Youkilis is gonna hurt like it did when Nomar was traded (hope the end result is the same). Nice to see that the Sox got jack **** for him too.

Everybody knew Youkilis was going to the White Sox. It's not like they had to outbid another potential suitor. It was either take that deal or have Youkilis continue to sit on the bench contributing nothing.

That and Bobby Valentine was putting Adrian Gonzales in right field to allow Youkilis and Middlebrooks to both play.

I'd rather not see the Red Sox replicate their Post-Nomar run of 2004. If I wasn't a Red Sox hater prior to that run, I would've been one after that run.
