Zach Stewart has now been a part of trades for Scott Rolen, Edwin Jackson* and Kevin Youkilis. Pretty impressive company for a non-prospect.

*You could replace Jackson with Colby Rasmus depending on how you want to look at it.

I'm happy for his success. He was one of the highlights of the utterly dismal 2008 Mariners season, and being that he's 37, I can't be too upset that he's no longer with the club (although knuckleballers, ****, he might have another 10 years in him).

Besides the fact that I'm a Mets fan, I don't think there's any baseball player I'd like to sit down and have a conversation with more than R.A. Dickey. The guy is pretty damn smart, and he just seems like a nice person.

And I don't know how much you know about his personal history, but let's just say he'd have some stories to tell. (He told a few in that interview I referred to) And, uh, unless I'm remembering someone else, some stories you might not want to hear...

edit - Nope, I'm thinking of the right person. Not gonna link to it. Google 'RA Dickey book' if you really want to know what I'm referring to.

I haven't read his book, but I have heard about some of the things that he has gone through in his life.

I just think it would be kinda cool to discuss Star Wars with him.

Seems like it was longer but you are correct on this.:p

Also, glad that RA Dickey is having his success (Yankees game last night not withstanding).

And there goes Henderson Alvarez . I will not tolerate any *****ing by Sawx fans about injuries. Ricky Romero is the onoy starter left.

ANOTHER Blue Jay starter is down for the count? Jeez louise. At this point, Jamie Moyer's gotta take it personally if they don't call :p

The Jays rotataion is Ricky Romero, Brett Cecil, Jesse Chavez Aaron Laffey and now they just announced on twitter that Scott Richmond is getting on a plane. It's not necessarily him, he could get long work out of the bullpen. It's also not certain between Laffey, Chavez and Joel Carreno. Anyone after Romero could find himself on the plane to Las Vegas. Chad Jenkins could also get a call up from double A New Hampshire. All of those guys throw harder than Moyer and could conceivably have a major league future. I'm sure the Jays would love for Moyer to soak up some minor league innings, but it doesn't sound oike Koyer wants to do that.
