Okay, I got word that the Black Keys Pack 02 should have gone live in SCEE at 1:20 PM ET time today, which is after the last report I have from the forums. The tracks should all be appearing in both the PSN store and the in game RB3 store now, but please let me know if that's not the case and I'll pass it along.

As for how this happened, there is some server cross talk related to RB Blitz set up, where we're working to ensure that in game stores update for both RB3 and Blitz. In the meantime we're syncing stores manually and it is causing some hiccups but we'll be keeping an eye on it in the future.

Black Keys pack is available on the in-game store now and its pro upgrade too.

Cinderella pro upgrade is still missing. Everything else seems to be ok.

I noticed the missing Killswitch Engage single go up, but the pack was still marked "currently unavailable". The Black Keys Pack 02 was available in the AU and UK stores when I checked.

Cheers hmxhenry for keeping us informed. I think others in this thread sometimes forget that you're only one man and can only do so much.

But, we do have to wonder why DLC that doesn't appear when it should, why it isn't noticed by Harmonix. Surely someone from HMX could log in and check that your content is actually available each week, and post an announcement if it's not, so at least we know you're aware of it, and that the DLC will likely appear the following week (or something to that effect).

That way you'd keep us customers happy and not lose out on revenue as well!

    Bumped this issue again today.

I raised this very question with our DLC production team the other day because I was wondering the same thing. They confirmed that we are testing every DLC release to confirm that it's live in the store as intended, but there is not consistency across all consoles. We receive notices from some 1st parties when content goes live, but not on others, which makes timing difficult to predict. Xbox, for example, pushes their content live at almost the exact same time every week as DLC is released on Tuesday. SCEA, on the other hand, often doesn't update the store until late in the afternoon, frequently after work hours. That means we're sometimes not able to check content until our next day in the office.

SCEE has an even less predictable schedule, so short of having an employee burn an entire day constantly refreshing the EU store, there's not an immediate solution. We traditionally check at the earliest time we expect content to be available and then routinely check in. This is, as I'm sure you can imagine, extremely disruptive to the QA work flow, especially when they have a constant flow of weekly content that urgently needs testing. Additionally, testing content in the US retail environment is much easier because we are based in the US. Using US retail kits to confirm live content in international stores poses a number of technical hurdles, which is another reason why we would benefit from having more notice from international first party product managers when content goes up.

So we are testing on both the dev and retail environment, but issues with timing and time zones pose regular problems that we try to work around. I hate that we sometimes get first reports from the community, but we'll always message in advance when we know in advance and we'll react as quickly as we can to community reports.

Thanks, Henry. I really appreciate your efforts on sorting out these problems.

If it helps, I can post here (or somewhere else) the situation on the UK and Finnish stores when SCEE updates their store. I usually check it out soon after the update.

Thanks for the lengthy reply hmxhenry.

Both the AU and UK Stores seem to update around the same time (between 2-3am my time). Did anyone else spot the monumental mistake made by SCEE this week under this weeks Rock Band 3 releases?

They had the Rock Band Blitz Soundtrack... the whole 25 song pack (759Mb download) available for FREE.

It's now been removed, and I ended up buying the game anyway. I think the songs are well worth the purchase price.

You are most welcome. I always try to be as open as possible without upsetting partnerships or bloodthirsty lawyers.

I will say this: SCEE knows how to keep things exciting. You never know which scheduled content won't show up in the store... or what unscheduled content will show up!

Blitz launch has been going (relatively) smoothly on SCEE, but dealing with unintended listings in the store will likely mean the RBN tracks don't go live until next week. We'll keep you posted if we hear before we leave for PAX, but next week seems more likely.

All the RBN tracks that were announced are up... I bought 2 of them.

Still downloading the Blitz Soundtrack. The PSN has been painfully slow in the last week or so!

Yup you're 100% right, in the first hour the scee (italian) store was updated, the rb blitz soundtrack pack (>700mb) was for free. i think it has now been removed, and only available for those who purchased rb blitz.

A PSN friend of mine also sent me a message that he downloaded the pack (Portugal store) for free and worked on rb3.

Both me and my friend eventually purchased RB Blitz, but not the point really.

Lousy SCEE. I would be really pissed at sony if i was in HMXs shoes.

on another note.... anyone care to update missing songs list? here:
