I'd be happy with winning an SG.. Survey was pretty nice actually. Some good questions, that gave you a sense that they knew the big problems with their model and had some interesting options they were considering moving forward.

They hinted at online multi-player in one of the questions, which for one minute made me think they might actually be able to make that happen... Which would be sweet, but not really sure they could :)

I ranked Rock Band higher overall than RS in the survey... Mostly because I think RB gets a TON of things right relating to practice modes, menuing, game feedback, and performance, while RS still doesn't even let you manually adjust practice speed. RB also is winning on DLC output, and outbound communication.

I thought the whole Joystiq kerfluffle was from the original RS review where the reviewer couldn't figure out his setup and noted the lack of things like tuning tutorials, which RS actually has though buried in the videos sections. A call to confirm facts with the developer would've worked both of those issues out. With the new Joystiq deal the "using online tabs" thing has no merit in my eyes because I've looked up a bunch of RS songs to play on my own time and the tabs online are usually different from what RS does, something else that a quick investigation would find out.

As with any videogame, if it's good I'll get it. If not, I won't. I do have a friend who is amazing on real guitar who can't grasp neither RB3 pro or RS because of the vertically scrolling notes, so Bandfuse (BF?) may be good for him.

That's a good face, by the way. RS2 with bass and drums pls.

Nice, thorough survey, and I'm certainly curious about where Rocksmith is going. I still give the edge to Rock Band 3, but a little healthy competition never hurt anyone, especially among games that teach real instrument playing.

Going back to my comments on the online tabs, I suggested Ubisoft might get in trouble if they really did use tabs available online without the permission of the tab makers. I emphasize "if." If they didn't, and I'm willing to believe they didn't, then they have nothing to worry about.

Very good survey. Well thought out and many choices. Hard to just pick top 3 on some of those, I hope everyone doesn't pick impossible to get artists for their DLC dream list :)
Good idea (incentive - prize) to get lots of responses back and hope it helps them make RS2 even better

Yu must be new here if you have not encountered the trollicious mr batz on this forum before. Look up his posts here. I particularly liked the one where he claimed that his guitars were worth more than my house and cars put together!

oh geez, is that the same he-who-must-not-be-named* who used to post here. that guy was a true idiot, and always making stuff up in his posts. i'm still waiting for the proof that the squier's electronics were manufactured by madcatz.

    * i don't want to say his name, lest he reappear here again, like voldemort or the boogey man.
