Saw the Bass action in person at E3. Looking forward to it.

Discs will start coming with it and it will be available as DLC in NA.

$30 as DLC seems a bit much if they're going to include it with discs from now on. It's punitive to the people who've supported them to this point. $10 seems more appropriate. (Not that I have any use for it).

$30 for doubling the content in the game? Seems reasonable to me

Agreed. Hell, if Shivering Isles is $30, I absolutely believe this is worth $30, considering this very well may be able to teach you a whole new instrument (contrary to popular opinion, bass is different than guitar :)). You certainly don't get the same lasting appeal in Shivering Isles.

    $10 would be highway robbery.

Personally, I see that it's reasonable but I still don't like it. Oh well. Better that than increase the price of DLC.

If they add achievements, then that'll make the transition a bit less severe :p

Doesn't matter to me as I don't own the game yet.

i was expecting more like $20. $30 seems a bit much, but i'll still buy it.

Though I feel $30 for a bass tutor is an incredible deal, I still absolutely maintain that Rocksmith DLC prices are ridiculous. That really can't be said enough.

I was planning on buying the game shortly after I got a Squier, but this just made me want to wait. Might as well :p

People who buy the game new get that double content for the same price that we paid and we're being asked to increase our investment by 38% over what they're paying (based on the $80 disc+cable that I paid, 60% over the current commonly available $50 price), penalizing us for investing in the unfinished product.

That's the way I feel, although the opposition to my argument against that practice on another forum has boiled down to: You should have expected that, other companies punish early adopters too.
