so maybe it's an 80s pack. and maybe one of the other songs is Heat of the Moment by Asia. would they have been so obvious with their hint though?

Possibly as the hint for the "The Offspring" pack was extremely obvious.

It would only be amazing if one of their slower songs were chosen (e.g. Starfire). Releasing a song that virtually no-one can play on any of the combos is not cool. Even Painkiller had a combo which wasn't virtually impossible.

Perhaps they were hinting at the band Asia who's popularity was pretty high in the 1980s.

pat benatar hmmm? is this a pack or just a collection of singles by different artists? i don't get the "from ages to asia" reference in relation to her.

also, congrats to RS for NOT picking We Belong.

Even if they showed a picture of a Paramore song, it would just look like a bunch of rectangles to me.

I can imagine it would be lots of fun to play on Rocksmith anyway.

Songs that almost nobody can play would not be fun, DragonForce never was fun on Rock Band and there is no way it would be fun on Rocksmith.

I had loads of fun playing TTFAF on all instruments (it's my 2nd most played DLC song) and OGAP isn't too shabby either. Even on Pro Guitar and Pro Bass it was lots of fun. It's subjective.

It doesnt have to do with it being a Paramore song or not it has to do with your musical "vocabulary" being non-existent outside of Rock Band. All you have to do with the given picture is play it on a real guitar and then guess accordingly.

Those "rectangles" are just rocksmiths way of showing tab. I think you'd be able to do the same thing for Rock Band Pro songs

i think the fun in dragonforce songs (for RB) is their ridiculousness. for the few people competent enough to play them on expert, perhaps also for the challenge. but it's a big difference playing those songs simplified down to 5 buttons vs. playing the actual song on an actual guitar. on pro guitar, their only real usefulness is in setting the bar so high for difficulty that nothing else could possibly top it (i'm going to assume you weren't playing those songs on expert pro guitar or bass).

that's fine for RB where the goal is just having fun and posting scores but RS is actually focused more on learning to actually play guitar, and the only thing most people would learn from playing a dragonforce song on RS is how to give up in frustration.
