I need to spend more time with it, but from the little I've played, I like it. When the time comes to get DLC (which won't be for a while yet), I'll definitely be more choosey with what I get compared to RB DLC. I do know that the first songs I buy will the ones already on RB without Pro upgrades.

In RB I buy songs I like and songs that friends might want to play. For RS I only buy stuff I want to actually learn. This also means right now I'm not picking anything that seams overly complicated.

OK, tired of waiting on Harmonix to get their "real guitar" game out... Just ordered from Amazon the RockSmith bundle. I wanted a Squier when it was put out for Rock Band because it actually teaches you where to put your hand... but by time I could get one, they were no longer being made. I don't want a mustang, because it doesn't really help you with playing on strings... sure, it will teach you how to place your fingers, but that is not fully what I wanted.

So, I waited and waited for Harmoinx to say something... they have not, so I jumped ship. Alesia has to study for her series 7 exam over this long weekend and I paid extra to get the game and guitar delivered tomorrow.

I still wish I could have gotten a Squier for a decent price, but, oh well.

you're not missing out on much with the squier. with the RS bundle you'll get a much better guitar and it's better for actually learning to play a guitar. the finger position display on RB is a bit overrated, being able to hear your own playing instead of a pre-recorded track is much more important to learning to play properly.

It's kind of funny. I was so happy to get my Squier (I live in Montana, they are hard to come by) and after picking up Rocksmith and a different guitar, I haven't touched. Now it seems like I can't even give away the Squier in this state. :(

Great news for me then... Really looking forward to getting the game loaded up and failing for the first month or so, like I did with Rock Band on easy :) I liked to never got past Enter Sandman on Easy, LOL.

Yeah, there's no difficulty in RS. The more notes you hit, the more it adds. (Until maxed) The more you miss, it'll eventually start taking notes away to help you.
