Personally, I'm very pleased with not only the week, but also the fact that we can voice our opinions on the songs that we want to see get ported over. Harmonix has done an incredible job listening to the community.

Also, I feel I should voice my opinion on the Yogurt With Sprinkles arguing here. Are the Xbox users allowed to come in here and voice their opinions on what songs get ported over? Sure. As far as I know, it isn't against the rules or anything. However, I feel that it goes against the spirit of what this thread is all about. In this thread, we have some of the most passionate PS3 RBN players requesteing songs week after week in an effort to get them ported over. Many of us have been requesting the same songs for months, just hoping that someday, our favorite songs will get picked up. We do only get five songs a week, and it's frustrating to see our favorite tracks get ignored week after week, month after month, but we understand the process, and keep requesting in hopes that some day, our requests will produce that song or songs we've waited so long for. Now for dragoninforcer and his friends, who play on Xbox, to come into this thread and make a push for his song to get released on PS3 is, quite frankly, a little bit insulting. You guys can buy that song right now if you want it. The thing is, and I don't mean to sound rude, but I don't want it. It doesn't sound very interesting, and looks incredibly boring to play. Now granted, they've released worse ("Toast (Live)" comes to mind), but still... The only reason you guys care about the song at all, is because it's dragoniforcer's song, and you all want to support him. That's fine. Nobody outside of these forums even knows who he is, and so, nobody outside of these forums would honestly choose that song over all of the great material that has yet to be released on PS3. As I said, you guys can spam this thread about it all you want, but I sincerely hope your requests go completely ignored, and that extra slot is given to someone that's been waiting for a long time for their favorite song.

That's true that Xbox can get 5 or less songs in a week; however, that is for different reasons. Songs get released on Xbox as they are completed and passed through Creators (yada yada I'm sure you know all about that). So if a song isn't released on Xbox in a week, it's on the authoring group or whatever.

You see, this is the thing I don't mind. Infact I want Xbox players to come into this thread and tell PS3 players "Hey I just played song x and it's great because......., so I think you guys might want to request it!" Difference between recommending and requesting.

Guys, This thread is for requesting RBN songs to be ported over on the PS3. As long as folks aren't abusing it, I don't care if folks actually have a PS3 or not. Heck, I've requested a few songs that I wanted just because I thought they'd be good for the PS3 community, even if I didn't want them personally.

So they ported the song that most reviews slagged and most people disliked off their latest album instead of the title track that kicks ass, and they arent going to port the good one because their poor pick (possibly) didn't sell well? Weak.

Oh well. No sales to me this week. Nobody in my group that can sing anything from Amberian dawn. No operatic female vocalists here. Those who wanted it: enjoy, looks like you'll get more and more of the same. Congratulations.

You know, poor sales might be the case for that Nevermore song, I don't really know. It does seem like it's one of the most requested songs here, and it continually gets the snub, so I completely understand your pain. Although it isn't in my top ten, I would still really like to get it myself. All I can say is, keep requesting it. If you don't think these forums matter, how else do you think we got "Cheesy Pop Song?" That song would probably never have seen a PS3 release without the support of the forums here.

As for the Amberian Dawn songs: I don't have the sales figures of course, but I'm fairly certain that they usually sell pretty well. They have always been a very popular RBN artist. I'm no female operatic vocalist myself (I'm male), but I love singing these songs, because they provide a fun challenge, and I find them to be a blast on all instruments. For what it's worth, we won't be seeing any more of their songs ported over anytime soon. We now have all of the AD RBN2.0 tracks...

So, well, what do you really want? Hard song for drums, guitar... death metal... metalcore..

because lately we got a bunch of Asking Alexandria songs, I, Omega, An Endless Sporadic, Amberian Dawn that are not really easy on guitar, Mystakin, Blackguard....

oh, or you mean "big names"? Cause Asking Alexandria is a pretty big name. Not big enough for HMX DLC but more than decent for RBN.

For the record, I not only said that the song looked boring to play, but I also said it didn't sound interesting either. I'm pretty sure it wouldn't sell very well to those unfamiliar with these forums. I don't really mean to bash the guys song or anything, it's just not something I particularly want. Hell, I'll even download it if it ever does get ported over, 'cause I'm cool like that. I'd just rather see us get better songs instead.

Now as far as your argument that Xbox users could get less than five songs a week: What's your point exactly? Xbox users have access to every single RBN song (save for the couple that got pulled). PS3 users are limited to only five a week from that pool. Theoretically, WE could get less than five songs a week, if that pool ever runs dry. The issue isn't exactly songs per week, but rather, percentage of songs that we get. We don't have the luxury of every song available, but instead, must pick and choose. I've merely suggested that you allow those of us that are under the PS3 RBN constraints to be the ones to choose. It would be like if all of a sudden, HMX decided to throw Wii users a bone, and give 'em one song a week from the PS3 pile. Then, knowing all of the Wii fans have been requesting their favorite songs, I went in there and started requesting for them, regardless of the fact that the choices have absolutely no bearing on my Rock Band experience. I don't mean to be bitter, but do you see where I'm coming from here? It's not that you aren't allowed to request songs here, it's just that I don't see what the point is. Unless you plan on buying a PS3, and then purchasing said song, why bother requesting it at all? I can tell you that I've purchased absolutely every single song that has been ported over on my request.

im gonna stop you there. your opinion is not that of the entire ps3 community.

as for the rest, i have no reason to request it, because i didn't.

the only 2 people here that have requested it are 1 on PS3, and 1 that has RB for both xbox and PS3.

I just completely disagree with DemonUnicorns attitude of "XBOX players GTFO this thread is for PS3 only!!" when xbox players can recommend songs after actually playing them. some might do it in the form of a request instead of a recommendation, but it's the same idea to me.

Oookaaaay... I am just gonna pop in and say that Solution .45's "Lethean Tears" and RIBS's "Brains Out" would have been cool as well as Discord and more Devin Townsend songs as I mentioned earlier.

I'll let you guys get back to your fighting now.
