This thread is for PS3 users to request RBN songs already released on Xbox for PS3.

The prior request thread (http://www.rockband.com/forums/showthread.php?t=184779) was very long and getting unwieldy. Here's a new one. A few guidelines (stolen shamelessly from tepidshark's original post):

1. Like the Request a Song function on the website, just because you request something does not guarantee it will happen. Submitting something to this thread is more of a suggestion then a demand.

2. Because Rock Band Network is built on Microsoft's XNA tools, all songs submitted to Rock Band Network have at least a 30 day exclusive period on the 360 (though it could be even longer than 30 days as well). Thus, you will never see a song arrive on other consoles day and date with the 360 Version.

3. Only RBN 2.0 songs are eligible for consideration (see here for an explanation of why RBN 1 songs aren't eligible). This is everything released from March 15 and on. If you prefer to think of it in terms of songs, the first eligible song is "Blue (Da Ba Dee)", which has already come to PS3.

Mods, please feel free to take over this post and modify/update as appropriate. :)

I think Riptide Resort by Freen in Green should be ported. It isn't the best selling or biggest named song on the RBN, but it has a good, unique sound and is very enjoyable on all instruments.

I'd like to get the Devin Townsend, Jukebox The Ghost, and Antoine Dodson songs.

You misunderstood the purpose of this thread. It is to request songs that have been released on XBOX RBN to come to the PS3.

Megalodon by Mastodon. Mastodon is really popular and the song is crazy fun.
Glow by Alien Ant Farm. Also popular, hopefully the other AAF songs release soon.

Well, I think that the Jukebox in the Ghost songs will all be ported at one point but... I seriously want Ultra Saturday. Some of their stuff is stuck together in the RBN1.0 list, and they're a really good and fun band.

Hangman by Drugstore Fanatic is a must too. Only 80 msp is a STEAL for a song like that. It's the RBN2.0 song I want the most right now, after Megalodon (that is still an exclusive for xbox).

I believe the old thread is where we had the brief mention of a song selling better on PS3 than 360, so I thought I'd share this fact.

The official numbers aren't up yet, but according to rockbandscores.com, "(pin)Ballz" has nearly surpassed the 196 XBox plays, with 139 plays in the first week.

To put that into perspective, the track has been on XBox for 3 months

Makes a lot of sense, considering Insomniac makes almost exclusively PS3 games (their first 360 title is still on the way). I did excpect the song (and artist) to be much more popular on PS3.

There were folks requesting it in the other thread. They probably haven't made it over here.

@Bront20 and other players requesting the classical tracks: Which version of Fur Elise do we want to request? Honestly, it seems like a slim hope that we would get either, but I see no way we would ever get both so it might help our chances if we joined forces and discussed which we should request.

On the one hand, the Magnefora version came out first and looks to have taken the time to chart something (the left hand keyboard part?) to bass. On the other hand, from the sample on this site it sounds like the Thomas Walker version used a better quality piano midi sample and from other threads it appears he intends to continue releasing classical piano charts if these do well.

I don't care, I just think it's kind of a cool idea. I'll admit I likely wouldn't buy them, mostly because the more I try to play pro, the more I realize it's not fun for me, and legacy keys is ok, but no a reason to buy a song like that.

Read the rules, but we've been asked to not request RBN1 songs. Quick upshot, they'd have to change the pipeline over (takes a few weeks), and then change it back, so we'd miss several weeks of RBN2 songs just to get a few RBN1 songs.

Try to talk the charters into making an RB3 version.

White Wizzard - Over the Top

And a non-song request but a request for announced songs to actually make it to he EU PSN store as announced instead of missing like three of this week's RBN songs. Sony EU have managed to be good with the song releases lately but it seems the dark days of missing releases is surfacing again.

After Curse of the Werewolf, the three songs at the top of my list are Arctica and Ghostly echoes by Amberian Dawn and the latest Van Friscia song.

Any other AD songs and the piano classics will be highly appreciated too, though.
