I was once of the "Live versions suck!" crowd, but I soon realized that it's not the live versions that I don't like. It's the "not the version of the song I'm familiar with" versions that I don't care for. For example, while I like the studio version of "Come As You Are" by Nirvana, I REALLY like the live version from MTV Unplugged and hence, the version we have in Rock Band. I just really, really like that one.

A great example of a live version that I absolutely abhor are the Judas Priest live tracks. Good God I can't stand them. I guess it wouldn't be so bad if it was Judas Priest singing the songs, but the fact that it's the crowd singing the bulk of the refrains in the songs that turn me off. I am VERY thankful that I went and watched some plays of the songs on YouTube when they were released, otherwise I would have bought the tracks and been INCREDIBLY upset with them.

I guess the main thing is that I just want to have DLC released that are the versions of the songs that I remember listening to the most when they were played on the radio. If they are close enough to what I remember, then that's fine. The Nazareth "Hair Of The Dog" song is the real borderline of what I'm stating. While it's a studio recording, it's so different from what I remember that it takes away from the joy in playing it. Yet it's still close enough that I'm not angry that I bought it.

This is what should have been said and then left alone, perhaps with an explanation of how(it's the little button to the right of "reply with quote"; click that button on each post you want to reply to and then click on reply with quote on one of those posts).

The back and forth complaining and apologizing took as many posts as his triple post itself.

It is, it's on there twice. Once as a none exportable and the 2nd time near the bottom when it became part of Blitz.

GH has some of the nastier Live songs when we got the originals, excluding the obvious Peter Frampton/Nirvana tracks. I hated Pour Some Sugar On Me, can't stand it. Demolition Man and Move It On Over are alright, yet just tame live versions from those singers.

Talk to Sub Pop, they're allegedly the people to talk with.
