It's not. I pointed out the same with mine.

Just changed recently to "Losing My Religion" Fc'd without really trying. I'ts not a particularly hard song. Just kind of a long. Oh well....whatever
Mine has recently become "Losing My Religion". Which I have FCed, but there are higher-tiered songs that I have FC'd, some of which I am in a higher percentile, too.
It had been cycling between my FCs of "Blow at High Dough", "When You Were Young", "Learn to Fly", and "The Time is Wrong". I think it was "Code Monkey" for a time, as well.
At least it's doing better than the RBW 'Best Song performance', which is still dominated by the duplicate-scores bug that is logging people way higher than they belong on easy no-sustains songs like "Low Rider" guitar and "Need You Tonight" keys.
Mine is now Break On Through (To The Other Side) by The Doors. Though I've scored higher on other songs and ranked higher on others. Why is it this? Yes, I FC'd it. But I FC'd others!
How is this calculated?
They don't disclose the exact formula. It's not your highest-percentile (obviously), though FC'ing and/or gold-starring (it's possible to do either without doing the other) will increase your chances.
Hmm, I guess "Get Up, Stand Up" isn't so bad for me. I didn't remember it being 4 dots. I thought it was one of those you could sleep through and still FC.
I've got many 100%s and Gold stars where it wasn't a FC, but, other than Polly on Drums (and probably others on other instruments) and without Overdrive, how'd you FC without Gold stars?Quote:
FC'ing and/or gold-starring (it's possible to do either without doing the other)
If you don't activate OD, or if you do it at the worst possible times. I used to have an FC and five plain stars on "Every Little Thing She Does is Magic" until I was finally able to rectify it.
Also I believe "Polly" IS gold-able in RB3 (in RB2 it's not).
I've FC'ed "Free Bird" on Expert Vocals multiple times, but never got gold stars. I'm not much for searching out the optimal path. FC is always my goal. High scores can be a bit arbitrary at times. I used to get annoyed when I perfectly nailed a song, only to discover I'm merely in the top 5%. Now I just accept that I'm a better singer than I am a Rock Band player :)
My signature performance recently changed to "Sing" by My Chemical Romance. Not bad, but it used to be "The Spirit of Radio (Live)." Much more satisfying.
Mine went from "Debaser" to "Take It On The Run" (vocals) about 6 weeks ago, even though I haven't sung either in several months. I took a shot at trying to figure out what the formula might be, and my guess included (as one factor) my score as a percentage of the highest score. So did someone recently set a higher score on Debaser? Nope. A lower high score for the REO song? Uh, not possible. The mystery continues.
Did many people have their Signature Performance change about 6 weeks ago? Maybe they tweaked the formula?
Oh no. Mine is "the Hardest Button to Button" on pro expert drums.
that's kind of a n00b song, isn't it -- like Polly.
